Do you smile at strangers?

I find that I smile at just about every person that crosses my path.
Not like some huge ear-to-ear crazed smile or a cheesy "how YOU doin'" smile, but just a "Hey!".

Most people smile back.

Some just .
I think those prolly think I'm .

I mostly do so like you John automatically. The people that don't smile back just have a bad day or something but 9 out of 10 they smile back.

I always smile at people. My problem is that I never check to see if they smile back. Is that weird?

Yes! I always smile at other people! I actually get free stuff or upgrades to things when I do it sometimes.

Carrie can probably vouche that while in Miami I got a free upgrade to the rental car from the lady behind the counter.

Sometimes, all it takes is to show a little kindness to a stranger and they react accordingly--it's never my intention, but it often works that way.

I don't do it all the time, but I try to do it often. Nearly everybody is smiling back .

Yes, I'm in retail and it's the most important part of our Customer service. At first I just did it for work, but now it is natural and life is a lot more pleasant I must say!

If I’m in a good mood, sometimes I smile at people. They usually smile back. Not always.

But sometimes I put my headphones and sunglasses on and avoid all potential contact.
