as many have said here in Oz it is crazy...but not sure if anyone saw the trial in Indonesia when it aired live on all the major networks but I did and you know sometimes when peeps do something wrong they take the palm of their hand and hit it against their forehead ( like hin the simpsons?) she did that 3 times in rapid succession- body language never lies--- from that i say guilty.

I agree with that. THAT body language is always used for self-punishment. Good call!

or people with migraines do it

I think the problem with judging appearances is that you can be telling the truth and still appear awkward.

Whenever I have to answer ANY personal question I tense up. I do it in the customs lines at air ports.

The question can be as simple as "Why are you visiting GErmany", and I'll respond "for holiday" but look like I'm lying my ass off even though I'm telling the truth. lol

I saw the documentary of her being convicted and placed in jail. It's called Ganja Queen. I was in tears. As one member on her side said, they had the wrong Corby. I believe it was either her father or brother who was into growing weed and selling it. The person I spoke of before made it seem like maybe they put it in there instead of the initial thinking that it was stuffed in her belongings as it went through customs/baggage check.

I personally think she was caught in the middle of something. And unfortunately, the iron fist of Thailand's laws came down hard on her. The documentary placed me into the assumption (based on the facts stated) that they take drug trafficking quite seriously. So therefore, she didn't have a chance to begin with. When they announced the verdict, I felt my heart sink into my stomach. I felt sorry for her entire family. Especially her mother.

I hate to say this but it seemed as if her father was the only one who didn't seem too sorrowful over his daughter getting caught. As if he were relieved, actually. Everyone but him showed emotion in that documentary. And sadly, he died. So we can never really know if he had a part in it or not. And I doubt anyone will come forward if it isn't him.

But wow wow...reading all the comments here, My mind is actually being expanded. I did do some research on her after the film ended but none of it was as expanded as I thought it was. Nevertheless, I still sort of feel like she wasn't a direct suspect and more of an unknowing pawn..

Not that it changes anything, but it was Indonesia she was convicted in.

Ugh, I'm remembering the media storm when she was convicted, the absolute crap swirling around in the media was ridiculous.

I remember her passing a lie test (not a lie detector an actual doctor who's job is to spot liars, he said she was very convincing and her body language was consistent with someone telling the truth).

We had some fat ass radio host saying the only reason people think she's innocent is because she was curvaceous and pretty. Well, as a straight female, neither of those things have an affect on me and I still think she's innocent.

rolleyes

What a ridiculous thing to decide her guilt on!

It was most likely just an instant reaction from hearing her sentence, who knows how anyone would act when such a thing is announced to them, with your whole country watching no less.

lol Frankly I find it funny to see this on the org....dunno why. But it really is a story of he said/she said. No one will really know the truth of the matter.

If your going from a pure evidential perspective she is guilty. Considering that her Dad had dealings with marijuana dealers and the like...hell the guy even grew his own shit so from that there is no surprise shes getting what she deserves.

in my eyes she did try and get away with it all and failed massively and when she got caught she tried every excuse in the book but from family history etc it all became clear that she or someone close to her wanted to do this and had worked this all out without her knowledge. Some family members can be assholes and not care for anyone but themselves.

I watched this video and found it ridiculously hypocritical. The dramatic music and black and white photo montage makes it look like a propaganda film. Also the points the video makes against the media are the exact same tactics used by the video itself.

Yes, we know the Australian media is a crock of shit, especially the so-called "news" networks. Unfortunately they follow the American model of "news should be entertaining" and in doing so remove all possible belief in their so-called "reporting".

The attitude to the Indonesian court system in the video is condescending also. sad

She's guilty because a family member did something?

So if one of my family members became a serial killer, I probably am one, too?
