You should have heard him on the mic when he was DJ-ing parties or on our college radio station. Dude was ahead of his time. You'd get a history lesson while shaking your ass on the dance floor.

I forgot about meeting Scottie Pippen twice. The first time was at a club in Chicago. My brother was a bouncer/promoter and his girlfriend worked there also. He was in the VIP lounge and I went over to speak while my brother's girlfriend was serving him. He was a total dick and a bad tipper.

I met him again years later when I worked at Montgomery Ward. We sponsored the Bulls and he came to sign autographs. We'd catered a beautiful set-up with foods that we knew he liked. He came in and acted like he was so inconvenienced. After the signing he wouldn't even touch the food we'd spent hundreds of dollars to set up for him. He snubbed his nose at the food and walked out the service door with a towel over his head. Good for us, though...we got to eat it!

No Tippin' Pippen. LMFAO. I have NEVER heard anyone say something good about that dude.

It's a travesty that he made the 50 Greatest NBA Players team.

I've met Sheila E. a few times after concerts. She's never been particularly warm, but whatever.

I interviewed Mary Higgins Clark and spent a good part of the day at her house. She was great and had these delightful little finger sandwiches brought in during the middle.

Anne Rice was really nice and open; very cool.

I went to the same college and lived in the same dorm as Kurt Warner, so I met him, but I can't really say I knew him.

Oh, and I had a really fun time talking to Heidi Fleiss once.

My husband has met Dr. J who was very friendly and kind to him.

I have seen Prince in concert, I think, 9 times now.

I have met UT Gov. John Huntsman and his wife.

I met Dr. J once, in 1976. It was a Rockets - 76ers playoff game. Back in those days, if you got there early enough and had the stones, you could sit on the floor, under the basket.

Which is what I did, for the sole purpose of shaking Dr. J's hand at half-time.

When he came back to the bench, I walked up behind him and said, "Dr. J! Dr. J!" I wanted to shake his hand.

He never even looked up, he just held up his fist, like "Right on".

I grabbed his fist, shook it, and said "Good luck!"

I was SUCH a goober.

No way!!! It was Dr. J!!

My husband totally geek 'd out and he was in his early 40's when he met Dr. J. lol

Actually, she was fine. Maybe I should just say that she was guarded or shy or something like that. The last time I met her, though, was at the La Va Lee concert she did with Wendy and Lisa in L.A. My friends were a little taken aback by her, because she was, let's say standoffish, but again, maybe she was just being cautious. I met W&L there too and they were awesome--couldn't have been friendlier.

Or maybe I look like a pyscho and I just scare Sheila. biggrin

The most famous must be Michael Jackson.

During one period in my life I was friends with David Bowie and used to get invited over to his place when he was staying in London.

I made that up.
