Personally, I like the devastating cruelty. I've found that it adds a certain delicious flavor that you don't get with humanely slaughtered livestock. Must be the adrenaline!

I was a vegetarian for about a year and I didn't feel good. My doctor told me I was anemic and I started eating meat again and drinking red-wine and at times take B-12/Iron/Liver shots so to Not feel Run-Down. I Know I can combine Legumes/Rice for complete Protein and all,but I just feel Much Better eating Meat. That is one Direction I just can't follow at this time. I try to eat what I want when I want it,because I believe Depriving yourself is not going to make you Happy. One must be Themselves and not a Clone of Somebody else. Of course lovers take on others Characteristics and all. That is a Good thing. Just remember to be the best Person you Can Be and don't Feel Guilty Ever cause that just Sucks! And it Does Suck the Creative Energy out of You as a Person as you Worry about Always doing the Right Thing and Never Getting Wild or Unconventional. O.K. you don't wanna Offend, but you also gotta be who you Are and not Care or Make Excuses for being You! I say feel Secure in Who you are and Love Yourself and Be Respectful. Everybody get's Mad,but Fighting and Shouting just Sucks -Up your Energy and Lifeforce.

I don't eat much red meat, though I do succumb to the occassional burger, maybe a steak once or twice a year (filet mignon is just too good).
BUT I've been considering becoming vegetarian for a while & a story I dealt with today @ work is pushing me more than ever. I've been getting grossed out by chicken for years, yet I depend on it (and turkey) so much - it's gonna be a long, slow road to a veggie only diet. But there's NOTHING worse than biting into a piece of gristle, knowing it's the joint where the muthafucka used to WALK AROUND... LaV, I wanna hear what made you go Veg. Gonna OrgNote ya... Also, thanks for the WhyVegan link. I don't think I'll ever go that far, but I'll check it out nonetheless...

I became a vegetarian when I was 17,some 20 years ago .. saw three disturbing documentaries in the space of a couple of weeks that I'd usually turn off as they were quite horrible, but I made myself watch the reality of factory farms, slaughter houses and fur farms..! Made my mind up there and then...
Don't miss any meat stuff, never had any cravings... its just about (re) education...
