My problem is I am not willing to pay three dollars for a grilled corn on the cob at the fair. If it was just one, no problem. But I have 3 girls, plus myself and my husband if he wants one...I am not paying 15.00 for corn! yeah, I can't blame you. It's a rare treat for me due to the timing. But I keep trying to perfect it though or find somebody else who can.

ZombieKitten said: CalhounSq said: Yes, a sandwich will usually involve some kind of meat (or meat substitute), some veggies (lettuce, tomato, sprouts), & condiments (mayo, mustard) between 2 pieces of bread. The condiments knock out the need for butter (for me, at least) so if you had 2 random pieces of bread, you might put butter on them? If I wanted to just toast them & eat them, yes

Genesia said: CalhounSq said: Not for a sandwich Some Americans do. Depends on the sandwich, of course. For example, for a grilled sandwich, you butter the outside. But there are definitely sandwiches for which I butter the inside of the bread before adding the filling.

And butter should be a complementary flavor - not the main event. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
