I don't know why but I love the grilled corn at the fair. I've never figured out how to duplicate it at home, grill's not hot enough I guess.

My problem is I am not willing to pay three dollars for a grilled corn on the cob at the fair. If it was just one, no problem. But I have 3 girls, plus myself and my husband if he wants one...I am not paying 15.00 for corn! confused

lol yeah, I can't blame you. It's a rare treat for me due to the timing. But I keep trying to perfect it though or find somebody else who can.

lol Yes, a sandwich will usually involve some kind of meat (or meat substitute), some veggies (lettuce, tomato, sprouts), & condiments (mayo, mustard) between 2 pieces of bread. The condiments knock out the need for butter (for me, at least) smile

so if you had 2 random pieces of bread, you might put butter on them?

lol If I wanted to just toast them & eat them, yes smile

Not for a sandwich lol

Some Americans do. wave

Depends on the sandwich, of course. For example, for a grilled sandwich, you butter the outside. But there are definitely sandwiches for which I butter the inside of the bread before adding the filling. shrug

You realize it's the corn that makes you fat - not the butter. lol

I think the last sentence indicates she knows what's doing what smile

I know. I will never convert. Some ppl really like butter I guess. I used to gross out ppl at work by eating plain bagels with no butter & no cream cheese. I felt guilty enough eating the bagel, don't want to make it worse.

Yea, that sounds like unnecessary calories in exchange for very little flavor confused

If you think butter has "very little flavor," you're eating shitty bargain butter.

If you can taste butter in a sandwich, you don't have enough "stuffing" in your sandwich, oh snippy one lol

Again, it depends on the butter.

And butter should be a complementary flavor - not the main event.
