I don't know why but I love the grilled corn at the fair. I've never figured out how to duplicate it at home, grill's not hot enough I guess.

That's a European thing. I got myself in the habit of eating open faced breakfast sandwiches with butter when I moved here...then my gut started to spread and I had to cut that mess out. Butter is supposed to be for CORN

I love Corn on the cob.
What i do is generously butter a piece of bread and then wrap it round the corn cob,thus ensuring the full cob is coated in butter.a sprinle of salt and pepper then repeat the bread rub.
The bread is then eaten afterwards....lovely.

Yes, a sandwich will usually involve some kind of meat (or meat substitute), some veggies (lettuce, tomato, sprouts), & condiments (mayo, mustard) between 2 pieces of bread. The condiments knock out the need for butter (for me, at least)

Depends on the sandwich, of course. For example, for a grilled sandwich, you butter the outside. But there are definitely sandwiches for which I butter the inside of the bread before adding the filling.

Me too. Though I have found that I sometimes put cheese on my sandwich and those I have met that put butter on their bread usually do not put cheese, just meat and butter. That does not compute to me.
