Actually, I've never seen it (just a brief clip). But I know what it's about.

I also know that every gay (and/or geigh) dude I've ever heard of loves this movie like stink loves a monkey. nod

'Finding Neverland' or 'Grey Gardens?' I haven't seen 'Gardens.'

GG. By the way, I've always wondered: Is that Ice Cube in your avvie?

did that have Columbo in it?

confused If you mean Peter Falk, no. Set in the '30s, it stars Mia Farrow, Jeff Daniels and Danny Aiello. Mia's a timid young movie junkie who ends up in a relationship with a romantic movie character who literally steps off the screen.

I think "best" and "favorite" are very different for me. Most of my favorites would hardly qualify in the "best" category. But some would.

In any case, the movies I watch over and over and still love every time:

Annie
Breakfast at Tiffany's
Clueless
Cry Baby
Dogma
The Devil Wears Prada
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Funny Face
The Goonies
Hairspray (the John Waters original, not the musical remake)
all the Harry Potter movies
Little Shop of Horrors
all the Lord of the Rings movies
Pretty in Pink
Sleeping Beauty (the only disney animated movie I like)
The Sound of Music
True Romance

Those are the ones I just picked off of my movie shelves, hence the alphabetical order. lol Mostly light-hearted, musical, comedy or fantasy adventure. Stuff that doesn't make you think much.

I have a bunch of favorites I don't watch over and over, but maybe every 5-10 years I'll want to watch it again. Stuff like:

Dancer in the Dark
Secretary
all my David Lynch movies

stuff like that.

1. Alien

2. Aliens

3. The paper - Michael Keaton

4. The Sound of Music (yes, yes. I've resigned myself to the fact that it really is a terrific movie)

5. Indian Summer

6. The Hurricane - Denzel Washington

7. I wish I could remember the name of this movie but it's a Chinese movie. The story is about a spoiled little boy from the city who is sent to visit his grandmother in the country side. She is unable to read and write, and he absolutely hates living in her shack. He's extremely rude to her and at times mean. But at the end of the movie he realizes he cares for and loves her and the scene where he teachers her to write two very simple words so that she can send him a letter in the post to let him know that she is ok or if he needs to come out and see her....that scene is one of the most touching things I've ever seen in cinema.

8. Forest Gump

9. Shindler's List

10. My Cousin Vinny
