Hammer style pants have made a comeback I was surprised to see the "hammer" style pants are back in style, aka harem pants to some. I've already seen some women in NYC wearing the shorter version of these pants. I never cared much for the look. For some reason, they remind me of the way the young guys wear the pants below their backsides where the crotch of their pants are hanging down to their knees. Let's see how long this comeback lasts.
Here's a few pics: [Edited 7/1/09 7:33am]

Here's the beauty part: if you have any from the last time they were "fashion," you can still wear them - no matter how much weight you've gained in the interim! We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Here's a few pics: To me, the center of the pants, the hanging portion, just always look like someone dropped a load in the center. But I saw a lady wearing a black pair. She was thin, so it didn't look bad on her at all and I guess it is how you wear them. I don't care for them on men though. [Edited 7/1/09 7:46am]

That's true. The way the models in that pic are wearing them, looks nice. They also remind me of the days of "pop-lock" dancing of the 80s, when a lot of the lock dancers used to wear them. I believe "Shabadoo" one of the lock/break dancers, and the lady that used to dance with him dthem, forgot her name, used to wear them also. [Edited 7/1/09 7:51am]

Anyone caught wearing these ghastly trousers shall immediatly be taken to the village square and publicly shot forthwith

I don't mind the short version that the first model has on. I'm not feeling the longer ones, though, and NO man should dream of wearing these. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

The key to wearing these (if you absolutely must) is to wear a close-fitting top (as in the two photos on the right) and a bit of a heel.
The fitted top keeps you from looking like you're that big all over. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Here's a few more:
Not sure if this one would be considered Hammer pants, but close to it. [Edited 7/1/09 8:20am]

I love love love love love love love them!!!!!
They are so comfy and pretty and you can really alter your look easily. Sometimes I make it a more hippie type look, with flip flops, beggy shirts, messy hair, wooden braceletts, scarfs and sometimes more chic with heels, tight-fitted top, cool jewelry... I bought my first immediately when they hit the shops here in the spring and been happily together to my two pieces.. Who else here loves 'em?! Allow me to introduce: Ms. Onder and Mrs. Donk! (o)(o)
They now belong to BigBearHermy.

A heel is ESSENTIAL to pulling them off if you're anything above 125lbs. (tho I'd say any weight, personal preference). Otherwise you just look like a droopy-drawz genie wannabe. [Edited 7/1/09 9:02am]

These pants look good on NO ONE!
I just don't understand fashion sometimes...I thought the point was to make people look better, not worse If you will, so will I
