Bacon Bar Since peacelovejoy posted something about bacon, it made me think to ask....has anyone ever had a chocolate bacon bar?
Before you say "EWWW", it's AWESOME. There's a Mo's Bacon Bar with smoked bacon, but I can't find it in NY. So I decided to make my own. I book six slices of bacon on a rack in the oven (so the grease dripped off, cook until crispy, but not burnt). Chop bacon into bits. Set aside. Melt down two bars of semi-sweet and dark chocolate Ghiradelli bars. Mix in bacon bits thoroughly. Pour into mold. (I used a silicone bread pan so I could flex it easily to get the bar out). Let cool for a couple hours. Remember, NEVER put chocolate in the fridge. One it's complete cooled, cut into bit size squares and enjoy. It's a lot like a chocolate covered pretzel. Salty and sweet at the same time.  | |

I've heard it's good, would have tried one but the one's I see cost no less than $8 for ONE BAR  NOT!  I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it | |

Anything covered in chocolate is usually good, so I would be willing to give a bacon bar a try. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you. | |

One of the new treats at the Wisconsin State Fair this year is chocolate-covered bacon. I considered going just for that.
