It looks like the US Open may be delayed, with the final round being held on Monday. If so, that could be an incredible opportunity for you.

The only Masters I have been fortunate enough to attend was in 1983, when I went to the final round - held on a Monday because of rain.

The crowd must have been 60% of normal. I'm sure thousands of people had to leave Sunday night and couldn't change their plans. I had NO problem buying a ticket for face value, and if I'd been patient, I could have bought a final round Masters ticket for under face value.

Once inside Augusta National, I could go anywhere I wanted, with almost no crowds. I went to the driving range, and sat 15 feet away from the final two-some of Seve Ballesteros and Tom Watson. Me and 4 other guys watched them warm up, cracked jokes with them, and had a heck of an experience.

Then, when it was time for them to tee off, we walked right behind them to the first tee. I was able to keep up with them for the first 13 holes, which is unheard of at ANY tournament, much less the Masters.

Finally, after clearing Amen Corner, the crowds got too big for me to keep up, so I went to the 18th green, got a great spot right next to the front left bunker, and watched them all come in.

I had just taken up golf at the time. I knew I was at a big event, but I really didn't understand the uniqueness of the experience.

Now, it could happen at the US Open. If you like golf, and you can get to Bethpage Black on Monday, do it. You'll have access like never before!

Wish I lived in that area. That's cool you got to go to the Masters like that. I hope to get to go some day.
