I'd give it the same rating that you did. i watched this recently and if it wasn't for robert downey junior i don't think i would have enjoyed it. it was a bit dumb, but he stole it for me.

very frustrating and depressing film, had it been european there wouldn't have been a happy ending what a mis-leading title. i watched this and waited for the happiness, and waited, and waited..... it was really depressing.

Public Ememies - Nothing beats sexy Depp.
Terminator Salvation - They should have stopped after Terminator 2. Miracle at St. Anna - 1/2 Well you know, it wasn't a bad movie, but not my favorite either. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Star Trek - 8 out of 10 stars
Drag Me Down to Hell - 6 out of 10 stars (but a good laugh) Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince - 7 out of 10 stars (and I'm being generous )

The Hammer- better than I thought it would be, no cheesy ending, funny. I would give it a 3 our of 5. Definetly not a waste of time, nothing to rave about, but it has it's moments.

Had to wait for a third (I watch so many movies, I'm only counting theatrical)
Transformers 2- negative two trillion was it? Close enough for me . . . Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince - 1/5. For anyone doing a Harry Potter marathon, this one will always be a rough one I'm afraid. Gets too far from the book but doesn't create a satisfying movie. It sits there, barely moving. The Hurt Locker - 5/5 The best movie of the year. Plan on seeing it again today after seeing it yesterday. You forget this is fiction. You will never want to get any closer to the war in Iraq. Saw it again. Still 5/5. Saw more layers and depth. [Edited 7/26/09 18:55pm] I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

Seen so many good movies this year but the last 3:
~ The Proposal As romantic comedies go, it's your usual, predictable schlock. However, after seeing Sandra Bullock on Jonathan Ross the other week, it really changed my opnion on her. Plus, I love a good rom com! I thought it was fab, had all the right elements and all 3 of us came out of the cinema beaming! Betty White was cool, too. ~ Moon Directed by Duncan Jones (David Bowie's son), I wasn't quite sure what to make of this. It wasn't bad, but not excellent either. Sam Rockwell was decent enough but it just sorta plodded along. It's a very low-key, low-budget film. Then it ended - abruptly. I was, like, 'Is that it??'. I know somebody else who went to see it, though, and they loved it, so... ~ Bruno 1/2 Same as above - not bad, not excellent. Some genuinely laugh-out-loud moments - there were 3 in particular that had me rolling - but it didn't live up to the hype, sadly. And *everyone* I know who's seen it has said the same. I preferred 'Borat'. Prior to those, I saw 'The Hangover' (HATED it ), 'My Sister's Keeper' (good), 'Public Enemies' (surprisingly very good), 'The Private Lives Of Pippa Lee' and 'Sunshine Cleaners' (both excellent ). One of the best films I've seen all year? 'Bottle Shock' or even 'Drag Me To Hell'. The latter, I swear I haven't laughed that much in a cinema for AGES. It was amazing . [Edited 7/26/09 15:54pm]

The Hurt Locker (out of five) - Excellent. Lots of suspense in this movie about an American bomb tech squad during the last days of their tour of duty in Baghdad. Night Watch - Overly complicated, but slick looking Russian vampire film. Some parts were a little hokey and it continues into the sequel Day Watch. The Girl From Monaco 1/2 - Pleasant enough French film about a high profile criminal lawyer and his security agent that tries his best to keep him apart from a young, opportunistic local celebrity. spelling [Edited 7/27/09 14:12pm]

and I'm giving it 1 star Won't bother posting my other 2 films, as they've already been adequately reviewed If you will, so will I

Well here are my other 2 recent movies
Night Watch.....A bit hard to follow during parts, but definitely entertaining and action packed. This was one of those movies that I need to see again when I'm more focused (read: not late at night) but overall I liked it and want to see the sequel....3.5/5 stars The Girl From Monaco .....Cute, funny, light-hearted movie. Very nice sunny day film. The ending was a bit flawed in my opinion, but overall I would give it .....3/5 stars If you will, so will I

Out of 10:
Drag Me to Hell: 10/10- It's the best movie I've seen all year. As a Sam Raimi fan, I was expecting a lot, and I was thrilled from beginning to end. Instant classic. Harry Potter 6: 0/10- I was dragged to this. I haven't seen any of the previous ones, but I went into it knowing it wouldn't be my thing, and it wasn't. At all. Dawn of the Dead (1978): 10/10- I'd seen this before, but I hadn't watched it in a few years. In my top 50 movies of all time. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

[Edited 7/27/09 20:24pm] After I saw how you rated 'Dawn of the Dead' I was not optimistic about 'The Godfather.' But the original 'Night of the Living Dead,' 'The Thing,' 'Nightmare on Elm Street' are my idea of horror. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.
