hmmm Chaz's father's birth name was Salvatore Phillip. Depending on the state of their relationship when he died, taking either of those names could be a great honor or (I hope not) a slap in the face.

Explain more!!!! If I stayed the way I was born, then for a start, I wouldnt b able 2 type this, would I???? lol lol lol lol But, as time moves on, so do we move on and GROW and things like our hair grows and then our face alters, so hence, we need or choose 2 do things with them like change our hairstyles and wear make-up!!!!! But 2 actually change our sex and certain physical parts is totally outrageous to me!!!

I would like 2 tell every transgendered person or even people who are thinking of changing their sex 2 take a look in the mirror and tell me what gender they are and when they give me the answer I would then ask them, "well why arent u content with yourself as that person?????

rolleyes Actually, in the US, they have to get YEARS of psychiatric counseling BEFORE a sex change is approved. No one does this lightly. So, what's your point.

yeah because men can't do that at all rolleyes if that makes you happy to be female maybe you should find some deeper reasons because i'm willing to bet Chaz' reasons for this are deeper than those material reasons.

Okay, so...imagine that, feeling as you do, someone forced you to become a man. Held you down and injected you with testosterone so coarse hair grew on your face and body. Forced you to have your breasts removed and your genitals altered. Made you live as a man. For the rest of your life. No recourse.

If all that happened, against your will, what would you be? Would you be a man? Or would you still be a woman? A miserable woman trapped in a man's body. Against your will. Without a choice.

That is how a transgendered person feels.

HOLD UP!!!! yes that is HIS name. you can ask his momma. nod And i'll have you know he's very much a man. Clothes are an invention and have changed over time. nobody's born into any gender typical clothing. we all just wear what we feel. (if we're lucky).

this is a good point about the mind set, the problem I have is that surgery doesn't really change a person's sex. It's a fairly superficial solution for such a deep issue. Maybe hormones address deeper change, but changing the appearance of genitals doesn't change their procreative function

But anyway, if I have issues with it it's not really my concern. People should do what they want as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else.
