HELP ME HERE. (firewire vs usb: the unholy union) ...when i start working that is
my only issue is there are no firewire ports on the new ones i have an external hard drive that connects solely with firewire to my macbook now... ...that's a problem because everything i'll want on the new mac will eventually be all on the external SO i've been looking around, the people that work for mac on the phones are dumbasses and said there was nothing that can convert firewire to USB i think i found a hub that may work can anyone tell me if this is what i'm looking for? to my understanding i'd be able to hook my external up to the hub, and then hook the new mac of up the hub as well, and i should be able to access the files that way right? We were just about to order a laptop the other day and found it had no firewire! so we had to start our build again from scratch | |
