Food allergies I am ( I think) suddenly allergic to onion. Anyone else have odd alergies to foods they always were able to eat? Well look whom I found dipping their toe in the murky waters! :eyeroll: At least offer me a damn cup of coffee!

I used to be able to eat raw mushrooms, cooked or fried.
Now they make my tongue swell. Ohh purple joy oh purple bliss oh purple rapture! REAL MUSIC by REAL MUSICIANS - Prince "I kind of wish there was a reason for Prince to make the site crash more" ~~ Ben |

- Strawberries (hives)
- Beans and Nuts (various reactions) - Citrus fruits (itchy throat/swollen tongue) Those are the main ones. Muse, do you get all itchy after eating onions? That has happened to me. "Love Hurts. Last year I developed an allergy to pineapple. My tongue would feel like it was on fire and it would get little red bumps on it.
Just recently, strawberries. So far it's fresh strawberries and not the ones in the glaze. Still sad though. Same outcome as the pineapple. I'm wondering if I have an allergy to oils. Since 1995, I can't eat certain fried foods or greasy foods. It's just gotten worse over the years. I'm not complaining much about it since I tend to eat healthy anyway, but sometimes I crave tempura veggies or fried chicken damnit! "When words fail, music speaks..." --- Shakespeare

Just hope they don't have salt on them. Which reminds me... I'm allergic to that too! I can eat cucumber, but my eyes get real itchy when I put cucumber over them. WTF? What symptoms do you have? I know that onions trigger heartburn in some people. I was unaware of being allergic to gluten, dairy and soy, until I developed psoriasis in the bottom of my right foot. Once I took away the food suspects, my foot healed.

I actually get very nauseous and stomach cramps . I thought it was nuts, but i looked around online and those are common symptoms and others also reported late age onset. Here's interesting, I am allergic to pineapple, oranges (acid) garlic and onion ( allium) are high in acid and or scid causing. Well look whom I found dipping their toe in the murky waters! :eyeroll: At least offer me a damn cup of coffee!

I used to be able to eat onions but they were my worst trigger when I had recurring apendicitis. I can eat them again but very sparringly not like before I got sick. 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

apparently if you are the kind of person that has and always have had allergies, what manifested itself one way, can suddenly change and manifest itself another way. My dad. He used to have hayfever as a youth, he now suffers from excema and hives when he is stressed. My hayfever went away and I'm wondering what will be next for me. My grandma who is nearly 100, found herself allergic not to printing ink or black bakelite any more, but the set top box. Welcome to the new millennium farmor!

I have never been able to have honey or ginger, major allergies. Food I have sampled in the past but cannot digest without having an Ipecac attack would be mushrooms, artichokes and beetroot.
