Missing child in my town *UPDATE*

I live in Monroe, MI, a very small town south of Detroit and just north of Toledo, OH. On May 24, a little five year old girl was abducted from the parking lot of her apartment building while riding her scooter.

Her mom's boyfriend is being held on parole violations and questioned in the case. He's a registered sex offender with certain stipulations of his parole like "no romantic relationship with a person with children!" The mother says she knew of his conviction!

He had his registered address at a motel, several miles away from the girlfriend, but was actually living with her off and on, with a school about a half a mile away, which also violates his parole.

I just can't believe that a mother is so desperate for a boyfriend, she knowingly brings someone like this around her child.

*UPDATE* Well, it's been 11 days and they found the little girl's body today in the river, encased in cement. Unbelievable. The public was ripping the mother for being involved with sex offender. I can only imagine what's happening at her apartment building now.

Her and her family were at my church on Sunday, and something just seemed "off" to me about the mother. Her mother (Navaeh's grandma) was a wreck and had to literally be helped back to her seat after getting prayer, she couldn't stand up. Her brother was a weeping mess the whole service. But the missing girl's mom just looked down, not crying the whole time. I know people can react differently, but it was just weird.

Police said last week that they found a letter from her to the boyfriend in his motel room that hat "disturbing" information in it. I heard from a girl I know that a police officer she is friends with said it said "if you are going to keep doing what your doing to my daughter, I better get my dope."

Such evilness.

I really hope that they find this poor little girl. With 2 beautiful daughters of my own, I live in mortal fear of this happening to mine.

In one way I totally sympathise with her mother, she must be going through hell but the larger part of me is thinking 'what the fuck is wrong with this woman?!' mad Whether her boyfriend had anything to do with it or not, SHE put her daughter at risk by bringing this man into her home. Knowing that he was on the sex offenders register and still she willingly brought her daughter into direct contact with this man - I think that SHE should be prosecuted.

Was she SO desperate for male attention that she put her 5 year old at risk? What kind of woman does this?!

Again, I hope they find her.

If she knew he was a sex offender, there's no excuse.

If she didn't have anything to do with it, she should at least get charged for child endangerment or something.

She's with the angels now.

I'm so sad this has happened to her, but at least now, she's not in the hands of those that were suppose to be protecting her and taking care of her.

Bless her little innocent soul. pray

No. After hearing that the body was found, the grandmother (who raised her, basically), wails, "the baby's was innocent! I want capital punishment!"

More details are coming out...Apparently, a man and his father were fly fishing in the river (about 7 miles away from where she was abducted from) and saw cement near the bank of the river, upon gettin closer to it, they see flies all over it and a wretched smell. The man starts to chip at a crack and saw skin. He immediately called police. The man's son was on the the news and said that his dad called him, absolutely freaking out, hyperventilating even.

For whatever reason, this devil, kills a little girl, possibly doing horrific things to her before her death. Hastily drives a bit into the country and digs a shallow grave by the river and covers her with cement. I would hope that would mean that there's still some DNA perserved on the body.

So far there are three persons of interest. The sex offender boyfriend, his sex offender friend and a third man with ties the the apartment building who was acting suspicious after the abduction and was seen burning things in his back yard in the middle of the night. By the way..the boyfriend works for a cement company. On the other hand the man who was buring stuff says he was burning receipts. Quick crete can be bought at any hardware store.

The story is being covered on Nancy Grace.

they still haven't found the little girl in Ontario... led away from school by a young woman that was only briefly known by the girl. both the woman and her boyfriend have been charged with murder.

it's made me think... how many of our kids would go with someone if they were told something like "you're mom's at the hospital with your dad and asked me to pick you up." even if that was a virtual stranger.

Such a sad and sickening end for this little girl. It is just beyond my comprehension that anyone can do this to a child ~ not only the killer but also the mother to put her child in this danger.

Truly devastating.

My Dad was born in Monroe, so I know it a little bit. Of course this kind of thing can happen everywhere, but it's strange that it's happened there.
