I'm not a fan of Raimi except for the first Evil Dead which had this raw sweaty feel. I really hate the third Evil Dead movie. It gets so boring and NOT funny. I'm not into the cute wink wink funnny horror unless it's really good.

I heard this was not a great movie... but I'll check it out... on blu-ray...

I'm not sure if I really am a big fan of any movie Raimi has done except for the first Evil Dead movie.

I definitely don't think of 70's horror films like The Exorcist or Invasion of the Body Snatchers or even The Texas Chain Saw Massacre being about jolts or cute humor, I think they were about serious mood heavy persuasive horror that builds and builds.

I think cheesy slasher movies in the 80's cheapened horror.

I do LOVE the first slasher film, Halloween, however (1978). I admire it's jolts because it also builds the 70's horror mood at the same time.

Friday the 13th, the first one sucks! So did the remake!

clapping Those horror films in the 70s were top notch! Rosemary's Baby, too!

Unfortunately . . . .

And you're the only one who didn't at least somewhat enjoy it on this thread. lol

lol That doesn't disappoint me at all. I don't think I'd watch it again either.
I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

Even just seeing the thread title brings a huge smile to my face... biggrin

I swear - I went to see this film knowing nothing about Sam Raimi films (I may have seen others, I dunno) and with an open mind... it was THE most hilarious film I have seen in ages. Honestly - I was laughing so much in the first ten minutes, I thought 'I can't stand another hour and a half of this!!'. dead falloff Seriously, I thought I was going to have a seizure or be thrown out of the cinema by the time it ended. falloff

The best bit was seeing things about to happen a mile off and just getting those rising giggles; we were in fits of laughter by the time the scene would end and everyone around us was the same. It was just the most hilarious film I have seen in ages. evillol

I only wish I'd never seen it so I could go again and re-live the experience. lol

Totally stupid and totally recommended! thumbs up!
