Anyone see Drag Me to Hell yet?

I'm impressed with the buzz this film is getting. It seems a rare horror flick that has appeal beyond just die-hard fans of the genre.

Anyone see it yet? Reviews?

My students who have seen it say it's pretty good- more funny than just scary. One student said that there are a few parts that make you jump. shrug
I want to see it, tho.

It's pretty bad, right? To make matters worse, I believe the "great boyfriend" is the Mac guy...

But folk are saying the film's good, nonetheless.

The commercials make it look horribly cheesy.

Honestly, it was good not great. There was some genuinely scary moments, but I wasn't really disturbed. Probably because I experienced it in a theater that wasn't even half full, but to get the the full experience, you have to watch in a theater filled to capacity. The moral of this movie: Don't fuck with Gypsies! lol

hmmm, i dunno if it's like jeepers creepers. DMTH is more like a cheesy 70s horror movie that you'd see on an all-night picture show. i felt like i could have been watching Elvira or Sammy Terry when i was watching this movie.

It was funny, made me jump once. Definitely cheesy, but that's fun.
There were only a few people in the theater when we saw it and I think we were the only ones laughing all the way through.

Mrs Ganoush is totally hilariously disgusting.

Great movie. Combining sound effects and shocks to make you jump and then over the top cheese to make you laugh...hard. None of the brutal gore or realistic SAW type of stuff.

Loved it... it's definitely in the vein of Raimi's 'Evil Dead' movies.
And yeah, it's definitely made in the style of an old 70's horror flick.
It's all about jumps and tension, not graphic gore. Plus a LOT of humor.

OMG, we just got finished seeing this today. I could not stop laughing throughout the entire movie falloff

The scene with the gypsy woman in the parking garage had my in tears falloff

I don't think anybody in the theatre was scared, and I think I even got a laugh train going in my row lol

It had some really good jump scenes, but it's not the Exorcist or anything.
It's really a lot of fun!

I haven't laughed this hard since I saw "Quarantine" last year , when that little girl tunrs into a zombie lol

I just got home from seeing it. It has scene after scene of "jump in your seat" moments and a few scenes that make you say, "WTF?! eek ". Behind all that lies a mediocre but passable horror movie. It was worth the matinee fare of $5.

i *HATE* jumpy horror movies, but i think the reason i hate them so much is because they're so effective on me...so i guess i really kinda like them in a very masochistic way. this movie was definitely an ooga-booga fest. boxed

I just saw this over the weekend and LOVED every part of it. I'm a big fan of The Evil Dead series, so I was expecting a lot, and it delivered well beyond my expectations.
