a week and a half ago, my neighbors house caught fire while the mother was cooking with hot grease. the fire went through the vent that is in the ceiling and caught the attic on fire, so when the mother thought that he fire was all out, it had really started burning above her and she didnt know until the neighbor called and said her house was on fire! anyway, the firemen had to put the fire out, they busted a lot of the ceiling out to get to it. the insulation was burning out of control in the attic. the kitchen was a total waste, the rest of the house was a mess with the chemicals all over the place and water damage, smoke damage and whatnot.... the mother doesnt speak much english at all, she has a 14 year old daughter who is very sweet and goes to school with my son. both of my kids have become friends with her. anyway, then there is a 3 year old little boy who is deaf and a 6 month old baby. she is a single mom, there is no man in the household. ok, so, they were told obviously that they had to leave most everything there and that not much could be saved. my daughter - all by herself and without me knowing, took it upon herself to go around the neighborhood to the houses that have had babies recently to ask if they had anything they could donate to the family. within 24 hours my 11 year old had collected the following... * 7 bags of clothes for the baby and a few things for the others. * 3 brand new bottles * a really nice, almost new car seat with a matching walker that had lots of toys attached. * new baby toys * 1 can of formula * a stroller and a few other odds and ends... i was so very proud of her and so u should be... seems that i was busy doing something close to nothing, but different than the day before

I remember when this happened .....great pic love!!!!!
