Probably cockroaches. They're just so unpredictable when startled.

They're like snakes with fur. And those tiny needle teeth freak me out.

I actually waited and replied to another post to give you a chance to edit that. falloff

Dude, you know what the roaches are like. 3 inch suckers that stay put most of the time but suddenly something settles them off and they're scuttling around. Anything that scuttles basically, I don't get on so well with.

I can live with the rats and the toad we had in the bathroom. Even the snakes, and I love the geckos ("tugkae!") and 'jing-joks'.

ok, true story.

My friend Chris used to put this fake plastic roach (looked very real to me) in the vanity mirror above the passenger side of his car.

Then when a passenger was riding with him, he'd look in the mirror and do his hair, KNOWING that human nature would overcome his passenger and they would flip the vanity mirror down to primp themselves only to have the plastic roach fall in their lap.

My friend Andrew did that and when the plastic roach fell on his lap, he screamed just like a little girl falloff falloff falloff
I will never forget that scream falloff

For some reason, I was picture Fauxie doing the same lol

He's my friend on facebook now. I think I should razz him about that. lol

All kinds? Or specific ones?

I really dislike poisonous ones or long thin ones. Pythons and Boas don't seem to bother me.
King snakes sometimes give me the creeps cause of their stripes.

Look, I said it was the cockroach that was startled, not me. I just get the heebee geebees, but effectively hide it and keep right on stepping in my usual machismo-laden way. neutral
