LEAVE KIRSTIE ALONE!!! (NSFW)

So what if she wanna ride the Krispey Kreme truck on her way to McDonald's to confess her love for Jack in The Box whilst hiding a secret affair with Wendy's. Clearly the girl likes soda pop, chips and cheeseburgers and if Hollywood wasn't stuck on bones and skin and skin and bones with your random silicone sandwhich, Kirstie wouldn't have an eating disorder. She's had problems with her weight since she first came to this rat trap town and used to be bullemic. We all knew the weight was gonna come back. I say...OWN YOUR FAT KIRSTIE. Focus on being healthy and not thin.

I can really appreciate her! Like her, I've taken a lot off, and put more back on. Now, moving it off again. You are so right. THe thin obsession has a lot of women jacked up. She has a really good sense of humor about it all too. I embrace her and love her at no matter what size.

Remember Delta Burke saying she would faint on the set of Designing Women because she'd go days without eating and pop speed all the time? All the crashing I would think does something to one's body in the long run. When Jennifer Anniston has to lose 30 pounds because she's so fat and Nicole Ritchie is fat in the first season of Simple Life, we need to really re-evaluate standards of beauty.

That is the truth. All these chicks are praised for looking like skinny mannequins and berated for looking...well...normal. I think that's it. Celebs are not supposed to be normal. The enterainment industry wants anything but normal. Normal is boring.

And fuck Valerie for wanting to help

I hope she can lose it again and keep it off sad

From the interviews I've read, she seems really unhappy with the weight gain and disappointed with herself
If you will, so will I

I never thought Brittney was fat or not as fat as people made her out to be. But oh the vitriol when she was on the MTV VMAs or wutevs. Im like jeez the woman had 2 kids back to back and was going through a bad custody battle.

But oh no...she has to look like this ALL THE TIME

Britney never was 'fat'. People were just picking her apart.

I'd like to see half of the critics who called her fat, go on national tv wearing just a bra and pannies rolleyes
If you will, so will I

I agree, why is this NSFW? And this is a good thread, there are lots of double standards out there especially when it comes to how women are supposed to look. I always say if you wanna lose weight, set your own goals, and don't listen to what others say, or what society says, YOU have to be comfortable in your own skin. If you glow on the inside you'll glow on the outside and that balnce is there.

I've never been a Britney fan by any definition but I do agree, she got picked on unfairly about her weight. Considering something like 60% of Americans are considered overweight, I'd say American society has no place criticizing a few extra pounds here and there on a starlet.

I think Fame should not have bearing on one's looks. Kirstie is a good actress and she has comedic talents but somehow its all about her looks?

This is where the equality line is so vaguely drawn between men and women. Case in point: Jack Nicholson is the fattest something out there in hollywood right now and yet no matter how much weight he gains, he is never ridiculed, called names, and never has is full body pic splattered on the cover of a magazine as if his weight gain were a crime. There are other fat actors such as Dinero, O'Neil, Vincent D'Onoffrio (sp), Vince Vaughn and so on. There are a few jokes here and there but its otherwise acceptable for the men to let themselves go. We don't expect them all to look like Brad Pitt. Actresses however, are disected in such a way that one little belly bulge either signifies she's on her way out or about to have a baby.

Quite baffling. And even more baffling is that many of these media comments and articles are by men and women. Double punch!! disbelief

that brittney photo was decent and undeserving of an NSFW. you saw nothing but skin. that hot men thread is one step away from a cock peep show. hmph! and there's more ass in my hot women thread than on a farm.

Yep, looks are everything - that's Hollywood. And that's why fat actresses catch more hell than fat actors. Whoever has the power makes the rules.

One of my all time favorite female characters on a tv show was "Rebecca Howe" from Cheers. In an interview she said that while she was filming Cheers, the producers kept asking her to take off a few pounds. I think she looked perfect!

But what for? I understand that celebrities get scrutinized like nothing else, and believe me, there are a lot of legitimate reasons to criticize performers like Britney IMO. But why pick at an area like weight where she is still faring better than the majority of the population?

Seems a bit hypocritical, doesn't it, for people to call Britney Spears fat and then saddle up at the local McDick's for a triple order of Big Mac's.

IMO western society as a whole has an eating disorder, and a deeply flawed way of viewing men and women. You're right though, except for the odd joke male celebrities can look pretty well however they want. But God forbid a woman have a natural, round belly. Obviously it must means she's fat or pregnant. rolleyes

For whatever it's worth I just hope she can accomplish what is healthy for her, so she can be here for her offspring, or maybe live to be a grandmother. She is after all, almost 60 years old. She has barely aged in her face at all (regardless of whatever work she's had done or not done), so I think we forget sometimes she's getting up there in age, and she has a metabolism that will have changed drastically from her younger years in Hollyweird.

I mean, gottdayum..the idea that Kirstie is inching towards 60??? I'm more distraught over that than whatever donuts stick to her hips... it's reminding me far too much of my own mortality hmm

moo moo or not that bitch is still beautiful and i hope she don't have a heart attack edit
