I love a good pot of chili. I've really honed my recipe over the last few years. I have a couple of ingredients that put it over the top in terms of depth and richness. I cook it about every couple/3 months.

I make a pretty good chili. Gotta have lots of scallions, shredded cheddar, and tortilla chips or cornbread.

But I'll take unsalted Saltines instead of chips as a first choice.

You not likey the sloppy joes? I hate Manwich stuff. I make most things from scratch (even my own honey mustard, chicken broth..stuff like that too). But home made sloppy joes are the shizz! Funny note: I am from Oklahoma originally. We love a pot of beans and some corn bread. That's dinner sometimes! YUM! Well anyway, a few months ago, I made a pot of beans. We had that on Monday. Tuesday, I took half the left over beans and made chili. Wednesday, I took the left over chili and made chili sauce (just puree half of it in a food processor and put back with the unprocessed half) for hot dog night. Thurday, I took the other half of left over beans, and made refried beans for taco night. Now THAT was stretching a dollar! Friday, we ate out.

I chilli! I buy the pre-made stuff at my local grocery store and heat it up in the microwave. But the homemade stuff is always the best, you can't top it. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

What's up with the fainting emoticon? The chili I buy is not the stuff out of the can (such as Dinty Moore or Campbell's). The grocery store I buy it at makes it fresh in their kitchen. It's like something a mom or grandma would make. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Ahhhhh, gotcha. Well not every store has that, so I assumed Dinty Moore. haha I used that icon just because I'm big making stuff fresh, and eat out of can as little as possible. I LOVE cooking, and making everything myself.

I LOVE cooking, and making everything myself. I have to agree, home cooked food is always the best. I don't cook for myself much, though, since I live alone. If I do cook something, then I have to eat the same thing for a week. I need to find some recipes that only serve 1 or 2 people, or better yet, just learn to cut the ingredients in the recipes I have in half. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.
