I wanted to know if Radar Detectors for your car are very useful now a days? They used to work pretty well back in the day. But the cops keep improving their technology.

Do radar detectors pick up on Speed cameras?

If you have one, which ones are the better ones to buy?

I'm not sure if the cops overseas use same technology as here in Oz but this is what our fixed speed cameras look like.

Thanks for the advice. I think many states are getting too big brotherish with these speed cameras. I can see the justification for the red light cameras. In big cities everybody speeds. You almost have to other wise you will get run off of the road. You have to keep up with the traffic.

I drive like a little old lady, I have not had a ticket in like 10 years. I learned my lesson young, once had a speeding ticket by the same police officer, same street, same week!! Got too expensive. Now I drive nice and slow.
