Anyone else do Weight Watchers? I've lost 57 pounds in 13 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so excited I had to share!!

So I had a New Years resolution for the last 20 new years to lose weight...I've battled weight issues all my life. I watched it go up and down over the years and I finally decided to do something about it.

And I have!!!

I had never done Weight Watchers before even though I've tried everything else and managed to gain instead of lose. I was terrified going to my first meeting because I had not weighed myself in years and feared I was at my heaviest. Boy was I right. But I pulled through and 13 weeks later I am 57 pounds lighter!!!!! I still have ways to go but man am I happy to be feeling healthier, lighter!! I have not taken pics but will post later down the line.

Their program is so simple to follow and you eat whatever food you want as long as you stay within the points system which is based on ones weight, gender, level of activity and age.

Anyone else doing WW? Share!!!

peace

I have never done weight watchers but it sounds like it works for a lot of people. Congrats on losing the weight, and that is a lot of weight in a short time. I have been losing weight a little bit at a time mostly by excersizing on a treadmill I have but I've noticed a difference even in the way my legs have gotten leaner and more muscular. cool

Its a really easy program. I joined with a couple of friends and we've all seen great results. I am a little nervous that I've lost alot so quickly but I eat more than I used to (just spread out throughout the day) and I excercise daily. I'm not doing anything drastic. Every week weighing in has been incredible! I'm always surprised!

I've been on Weight Watchers before and lost 30 pounds. I hit a plateau at 30 pounds because I couldn't get it through my head that I needed to start exercising once the weight loss didn't come so easily or as the program suggests, once I lost 10% of my body weight. I really enjoyed the program while I was on it and am thinking about starting it again, this time with proper exercise from the get go.

Congratulations on your success! You have no idea how motivational it is to read about your weight loss.

That's awesome!

Congratulations! I know how freaking difficult it can be.

I did Weight Watchers when I was 16. I lost 20 pounds and felt amazing about myself. Of course, I gained it all back and then some a few years later. But that wasn't the fault of the program.

As of yesterday I've lost 12.5 pounds in 6 weeks. I've taken up running and have been diligently counting my calories everyday. Here's hoping I can continue as well.

I've been thinking about doing it again for the last few days and this thread is actually encouraging to me to think about starting up again. Again congratulations to you. clapping woot!

clapping woot! Congrats, 57 pounds in 13 weeks is great!!! I have done the Weight Watchers diet. In fact, I went on it a few years ago, and lost 60-some pounds. It's not easy to lose weight, but once you put your mind to it, it gets easier.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.
