it's interesting that it has an eyepiece, because nowadays everyone holds the camera away from their face.
the best advice I can give you is practice, practice practice, and make sure the lens cap is off. Also, make sure you have lots of batteries available.

15.2 MP and live view (lcd screen) only works in certain modes. You have to use the viewfinder. There's a cool sensor in the eyepiece so when your face is close, the LCD shuts off.

Here's the 1st shots.

I took this in the dark, with a flash and low speed from about 8 feet.




This one is close up with a backlight. I call it "empty beer on computer" subtitled "sad beer".

So, what's a good setting or some tips for shooting under water? I'll be going through glass with tons of light above the subject.

(Subject means "the thing being photographed" for those of you not as advanced in photography lingo as I am.)
