Anxiety said: sinisterpentatonic said: How To Tell if Your Female Cat is in Heat
Female cats that are not spayed will eventually come into heat (technically called oestrus), and the signs are unambiguous, once you know what to look for. Here are some behavioral symptoms to watch for if you suspect your diva is in heat. Difficulty: Easy Time Required: Varies Here's How: Immediately preceding oestrus, your female cat may become unusually affectionate, by sidling up and rubbing her hind quarters against furniture, stuffed toys, other cats, and/or her favorite human. She may spend excessive time licking her genital area. Note: Lacking the other behavioral traits on this list, genital licking can be a symptom of a urinary tract disorder, which can be serious if not treated promptly. The Queen (name for female cats of breeding age) will vocalize loudly. This "calling" may go on for several days, unless she mates. She will assume a mating position: head down, forelegs bent, rear quarters raised to expose the perineum (this raised posture is called lordosis), with the tail raised and held to the side of the body. Her rear legs will tread rhythmically, as if walking in place. Queenie may also spray vertical surfaces with a strongly scented fluid. She will accomplish this by backing up to the surface and raising her tail high. The tail may quiver, and she may perform the rhythmic treading described in step four. If your female cat does not mate, she will go into oestrus as often as every two to three weeks, for several months each year, until she either mates or is spayed.

I think Boyle has a cute look about her which isn't necessarily a bad thing. And she has a charming personality and as we all know, an incredible talent so who cares what some idiot says?
I have no idea who Bill Maher is. Someone desperate for publicity, clearly. Just mention the name of the moment and BAM!, everyone's talking about you, too. Google is your friend. Read before you type. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

Nah - he's on HBO, a mention of Susan Boyle is NOT gonna do shit to his ratings Not only that, his show is about what's going on in the news. He always mentions, "the story of the week." I'm firmly planted in denial

Just suggesting that if you look up something before you go calling a public figure a "nobody" based on your ignorance you might save a little face, is all. I'm from Australia. Chances are some public figures in America/Canada aren't as prominent here. However plenty are and have become more visible in my country by furthering their talents and making themselves known outside of their home country. If he's not big enough to get international attention on his own, that's not my problem. If I don't know him, yet news of him using the "star of the moment"'s name does, what else am I going to think? He's not telling us anything new, simply using her name in order to get people's attention. And look, it's working. she didn't even audition for the show at all
I read on wiki that her audition (the one we've all watched anyway) was recorded back in January. That means she's kept her "style" right up until April when the media went nuts, THEN changed her look. What the F?

What the F? um cause the producers that run the show found her n knew they had a winner and then manipulated the show from the start. Jesus they continue to play the les miz shit while shes walking off the stage and while even being judged. Those two queer announcers are even telling everyone that they didn't expect that. Point is don't be blaming Susan who most likely doesn't know what the hell she has signed up for. Fame is a drug for one who wants it, but that doesn't mean its not going to use her and cast her to hell. I don't think the les miz tune was actually playing after her actual audition, I think it was added later for the final product, as in only tv viewers can hear it for added effect. They do that for every successful audition. I think the two announcers were just projecting their own shock. I just found it weird that she waited over 2 months to "change" her look. Even for the CNN, Good Morning America interviews she was still wearing the same kind of dresses and necklaces as her audition. Within a week or so, she's had the "makeover" everyone was wondering about. It's odd to think of someone deliberately waiting that long to "change", it's like she knew she'd be world famous...
