A neti pot.
Saline spray. Not homemade but very effective. I'm firmly planted in denial

You haven't tried any allergy-type meds if what you've listed is all you've tried. I'm firmly planted in denial

Saline spray. Not homemade but very effective. I've been thinking about that. Saw it first on Opera or something weeks ago. It's not the same, but I tried pouring water up my nose. Worked for a few minutes. unlucky7 reincarnated

You know how we have so many things over the counter at home that are so much stronger (because of the manmade chemicals inside)? I was totally knoocked off my rocker to find that a little 2 euro bottle of sea salt spray could help me breathe during a cold...who knew?

I have had to use the sea salt spray for years, well since I took an acne drug that caused major dryness to my sinuses & eyes. I love it, I use it every night before bed. Right now I am using this for the congestion & sinus problems that are worse since being pregnant. http://www.allerclear.co....nasal.aspx Cannot just pop a pill to get relief. This stuff is good too: http://www.superliving.co...-28ml.html [Edited 4/30/09 1:04am]

Now this is the one drugstore chemical that I still have in the cabinet (next to my sea salt spray) When i had 'the stuffs' last month I used my sea salt nose spray during the day, but then at night (when I knew I would be completely dead) I would swab just a hint of Vicks right under my nose before i fell asleep. All my friends make fun of me because they say "that's the kind of stuff your mother uses on you when you're 9 years old"....I didn't care, I was BREATHING at night

this only for the brave, but squeeze a couple of garlic cloves and drink the juice. you'll say "GODDAMN IT!" & "HALLELUJAH!" consecutively!
side effect includes friends not talking to you for a couple of days...
