Newhart, where Bob wakes up in bed, with Suzanne Pleshette (his wife in "the Bob Newhart Show"), and realizes that the whole series had been a dream. Brilliant!!

The only series finale I can think of is The Cosby Show, when they dance into the audience shrug

I can think of a bunch season finales of shows that were not renewed for the new season lol technically, that's a series finale

Mary Tyler Moore: When they are all in a huddle crying, and they all move as a big group to the box of tissues. Then they leave the studio singing "It's a Long Way to Tipperary". Mary paused at the door and turned off the lights.

I make a big deal out of watching finales even if I started watching a series and stopped somewhere along the way. when i hear it's over i watch(except ER duh). but two series' I watched from begining to end with finales that are most memorable, atleast at the moment are:

And Claire's trek away from death and into life was SO inspiring! Made me cry. I think that was a pivotal moment in my deciding to stop screwing around and pursue my current vocation.

Honestly I don't think any show can top that. It was just so well done. I remember watching it with my parents and though i was too young for the original i knew enough to be WOWED by the ending. Classic Bob Newhart.

Though I will add while I enjoyed the finale of ST:TNG, I think that DS9 did a better job of closure.

M*A*S*H would have been better if Hawkeye didn't tell that woman to kill the chicken/baby, but Alda wanted to ACT.

N I think West Wing did a good job of it also.

While Buffy was great when Willow went white, I thought the ending was kinda too loose ending. Honestly I think Buffy should have died n have Faith take over.

QAF was stupid from the get go so I stopped watching that after 2 episodes. sorry.

Angel's was done very well. They were never going to win the battle but they will still fight to the death.

Buffy's was a little too "THIS IS THE END" but I did like the scene where they showed all the new Slayers suddenly discovering their power.

Sex and The City was pretty good, thank god she got away from that French dude.

I was about to say something similar.

After being so devoted to "Buffy", I was left feeling cold at the end. The graphic novel "seasons" haven't done it for me, either. sad

I did like Angel's tho. It also almost left it where there could be a next season...

I've just finished The Wire. The last season, although good, was sub-par compared to seasons 1-4. Felt it let the side down and took away from the series as a whole.

Not so SFU, perfect conclusion. Easily the best ending I've seen.

James Gandolfini once came to my old job site in NY. He had his car towed, and he took pictures with some people on the staff. I missed out seeing him because I was out that day. They say he's very pleasant.
