I added some conga drums and turned it in on time

so this tread topic caight my eye, I have times where I feel hideous,

Anyway this chick at wrk complimented another chick and said you look so pretty

and I was standing right there and it felt awkward like, u r but his other

heffa over here is ugly...that's the what comment seemed to imply

anyway ppl can be pretty outside and not so much inside, I think as we age we are

more comfortable with ourselves and that brings out the beauty in all of us.

I know where you're coming from. I get comments on my eyes all the time. Sometimes it's flattering and sometimes I just kind of ignore it and change the subject cos it's that boring for me to hear....

They re telling you that you re pretty because that s what they are thinking. It s kind of a stimulus response situation. How freaky would it be if an animal told you that? That would be a thread worth starting!!

I get what you're saying about it sounding like back handed compliment, but the compliment is real. It's the ackward delivery that sounds like there's a condition to it. Confidence is the best accessory. For someone to take the time to let you hear what they are thinking means they were drawn to you. Work it!

yeah...I think it's your own issues with your "thickness" that makes you think it's anything other than a sincere compliment.

I have nice eyes, people comment on them all the time. People tell me I'm pretty on occasion too. It can make me uncomfortable at times but maybe because I'm not heavy I just take them at face value and not read into what else they might mean by the compliment.
I'd say "thank you" and keep on keepin' on.

CarrieMPLS, you DO have GREAT hair...not like regular great but REALLY GREAT, and I'm sure that's why people comment on it...because it's better than your avg. great hair.

A lady came up to me in the supermarket today to say she liked my dress.

It's wonderful when strangers take time out to be nice to one another don't you think?
