Well, from what I have seen on this on tv, people are making a big deal that she can sing well...like ugly, frumpy, awkward old women can't have a good voice.

It's all very weird to me. I think its more touching because of the general low expectations people had ..... It was a good slap in the face for those that seem to think that yeah ugly, frumpy old women wouldn't be able to sing lol

Plus after a couple of viewings the editing and music score which played through out the the 2nd half just to manipulate the viewer seems heavy handed. A brilliant cocktail of talent and manipulation. I'll watch but I don't see her going anywhere beyond being a youtube darling.
