Family Ties OR Growing Pains?!? OR This is a tough call for me. I used to love both of these family sitcoms and I believe THIS is a equally match-up (without bring The Cosby Show in the middle of it). | |

I don't even remember Growing Pains... is that the one w/ the curly haired dude who's now a Scientologist? Meredith Baxter Berney was the mom? I liked that show, but Family Ties was my shit! Oh wait, she was the mom on Family Ties, huh?  Alan Thicke was the dad though (on Growing Pains), right??

Kirk Cameron (who became a born-again Christian during the peak of his career as a teen idol) was on Growing Pain with Alan Thicke (the biological father of recording artist Robin Thicke). Michael J. Fox was on Family Ties with Meredith Baxter. | |

I loved Family Ties, but Growing Pains had the episode where they played Tiffany's song, "Could've Been" and that was my song! I also had a mini crush on Boner and then young Leo DiCaprio was the homeless kid. It's a toughie. "When words fail, music speaks..." --- Shakespeare | |

Absolutely Family Ties...
I cried my eyes out when they said goodbye to eachother at the end of the last show..  I always watched this show.. They became my family too The Borg... Partypoopers of the galaxy.. ( Medical Hologram )
