I thought prince was so unattractive for so many years though I've liked him since I was 3. In recent years though, I think he's probably the sexiest singer ever and looks better than ever at 50. I guess my tastes changed.

Oh, I think I'd have sex with him, if only to try and scare him to death. I think he realizes that the fur is the only thing that actually overtly proves he's a dude. I think that's why he's so fond of showing off his package in tight lil spandex pants. It's hard to argue he's a dude when his schlong enters the room before he does. Prince couldn't handle me, or you either, I suspect. He's too used to, let's say, a certain type of woman. His chicks are all surprisingly vanilla, given his reputation. When I was younger, I did find the whole girly look to an extent attractive as long as it was complimented with masculine traits, like the voice, how they stood, walked, showed aggressive behavior. Now, frailty is physically unappealing to me. Prince, for example, isn't sexually attractive to me anymore, though I do love the man dearly, just on looks alone it ain't working for me.

There must be some factors that motivate some women to feel attracted to girl-like men. My mom likes men that look like Shawn Connery. I like feminine men like Prince. I’m speaking totally as a laymen, and not an especially knowledgeable one at that, but my understanding is that it’s predictable and probably desirable for there to be variations in selection of sexual characteristics. Out-lying strategies (reproductive or otherwise) can confer an advantage as long as they don’t become the dominant strategy. Populations will eventually achieve a ‘steady-state’ where a fairly consistent percentage will maintain certain behaviors, say 85% of females selecting traditional male characteristics like height & strength, with the balance adopting various other preferences. I wish! Everyone likes the same thing: boys who look like girls. Er, no. The "look" with gay men seems to be swimmer's build, but bald like a 10 year old boy. True girliness is not encouraged as desirable. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

First thing I thought of when reading the thread title, like this song a lot. Meow, I don't have an answer either. It's in their glance, like Prince, makes me weak. With make-up, eyes look much prettier. I like feminine men but, like you, I like women too so maybe that's just a bigger reason than we think ourselves. I like the idea I made myself that they are frail and sensitive which they maybe aren't at all. But I like those aspects in manly men too. I feel attracted to real machos also so I don't know. Although a man looks feminine, I want him to have sex with me like a real man. So maybe I just shouldn't have answered because it doesn't make any sense And evolutionary theories, seems tricky, man invented those, man doesn't know everything.

I'm a really big fan of MessyGirly in guys rather than immaculate, perfect prettiness. That eyeliner better be smeared a bit, and that dress should perhaps be worn with combat boots. Not that perfect pretty isn't nice too. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"
