Good question.

I think there's enough variability in people that there's no hard and fast answer. But for the women who are into somewhat feminine males, I wonder if there's simply an attraction to men whose appearance suggest less of a physical/sexual threat and more capacity to be emotionally intelligent and nurturing.

At the same time, though, I wonder if these men appeal to women for only somewhat "casual" relationships. That is to say, would these same women actually want these guys as lifelong partners and fathers of their offspring?

Remember when you posted that thread about dressing up other orgers and such? Why did you pick that guy who was kind of....I don't know.....GIRLY for me?

The evolutionary theories explain what the "average" heterosexual woman finds attractive in men. Those of us who deviate from the norm are being ignored.
There must be some factors that motivate some women to feel attracted to girl-like men.

My mom likes men that look like Shawn Connery. I like feminine men like Prince.

nod

I don't really have a specific type, but there are definitely some pretty, pretty males I wouldn't kick out bed.

To answer your first question; I can't speak for anyone else but of those femme males I do find attractive I find my thoughts delving into x-rated territory pretty often. The fantasy always involves a fairly equal balance of sexual power, though I'm not sure that's significant because that's how I prefer things regardless of how butch or femme my sex partner is, or their gender.

I can't speak for the second because I'm not at a point in my life when I'd ever considered anyone as a potential life partner. shrug

The whole retort/quip about K.D. Lang, although intended with the utmost of hilarity, actually has some truth (Or a theory that I have, maybe even just hypothetical for now) to it, in my view. I DO think that those women who like androgynous-laden males tend to have more of an affinity towards the same sex. I think there's some sexually-repressed feelings not yet expressed in light of that personal phenomenon that brings on an epiphenomenon of sorts; revealing that you may PREFER the female gender, but there's certain men who exude the verisimilitude of a veritable female with stereotypically traditional effeminate mannerisms of whom you wouldn't reject. *Clears Throat*

yes I can relate! I wondered about my sexual orientation for years when I was attracted to mj as a teen and wondered why when people told me I was "so gay" for it. Now I'm no longer worried, I've accepted that I have gay tendencies, and I have crushed on girls though I will date guys.

I saw a belly dancer last night and I have to admit, I was really turned on with ass and tit shaking in my face!

Well, I am bisexual.

But I don't think it's all that likely that every single girl who likes her boy to don eyeliner is secretly half'n'half.

Well, it wasn't really my concern of whether those women were bi- or not, rather than the gender they'd more than likely flock to, more so one that other (Hence, the mention of K.D. Lang who PREFERS women but is actually bi-.). But I don't know. Just had a hunch.

Some lesbians and bi women who prefer women do find feminine men attractive....but that's for another thread.

I'm asking about those straight women and bi women who prefer men that want to jump girly boys.

I think he has a great face, but the makeup, the tiny, slight body and feminine clothes just don't do it for me.

I'd still hit it. boff

But I wish he'd do something about that furry chest. Body hair only looks good on a masculine guy, and butch Our Lady isn't.

Oh, I think I'd have sex with him, if only to try and scare him to death.

I think he realizes that the fur is the only thing that actually overtly proves he's a dude.

I guess it's same reason that gay guys (and I realise there are plenty of exceptions razz ) from the photos that keep getting posted in GD, seem to like the extreme masculine type of man - big, brutish and hairy lol
