secret shopping jobs???

so this guy that lives around the corner, he's young - early 20's - drops by to say hello, very nicely dressed - said he was going out to eat with his lady and their child. anyway, he pulls out this huge bundle of money omfg i was like what the hell????? i told him if he was selling drugs to get the fuck outta my house lol, he claims he made it by secret shopping hmm

apparently he has made 7500.00 in the last 2 weeks, mentioned on the way out that he was going to make 2500.00 for answering some questions after eating dinner out tonight.

do you believe ANY of this? i think it sounds like a bunch of crap....

Secret shoppers get to keep CLOTHES, they don't get paid that much.

I'm a secret shopper shhh and they don't pay you that much. In most cases you get to keep what you bought (with their money) and get paid for your time like a regular job would pay.

No. What happens is that a client would pay through them to get someone to buy from the client's store. Basically it's like the owner spying on their business to see the experience of using their services from the customer's point of view.
You get to choose from a list of clients and you have to do exactly what they tell you and buy exactly what they say. They will reimburse you for the purchase and for your time.

Sometimes they'll just ask you to buy something from a particular range. The agency I work for is sneaky because they ask you to take it back too 'to assess their returns procedures' rolleyes

I enjoy doing them though - in fact I got one tomorrow (Argos)

Unfortunately the company I'm registered to has mostly French clients, so I can't participate unless I learn how to read and write in French in order to fill in the paperwork.

Ummm, I hope you mean your boss might have told you that you got a good score, because a secret shopper is not allowed to reveal themselves.

Yes.
Sometimes we'd get a sheet indicating we'd had a secret shopper with our scores on it.
