Also, does any European Orger or visiting American know about catching the train from Amsterdam to London? We easy jetted it there. I am not sure you can catch a train. I was gonna say, there's a body of water in the way.
But you can take a ferry if you really don't want to fly. I've done it. The sucky part is it takes up SO much of your time there (where a flight will be a matter of a few hours the ferry and then train will take up a whole day). But it's kind of an interesting adventure. |

But I just moved to a new place and couldn't afford a new trip at the moment. Regarding the train thing you can take the Thalis at amsterdam CS toward Paris then change in Brussel or Paris to catch the Eurostar to London. That's exactly what I'm doing--taking the Thalys from Amsterdam to Brussels and then the Eurostar from Brussels to London through the chunnel. | |

I won't be able to meet up but I hope you have a lot of fun and a great time! I was born in Amsterdam. And now I'm fluent in English and Dutch.
Don't know if someone can relate but even though I live here I don't even know too many places or things to show...Anyone else have that? LOL I'm always like "oh yeah" you know especially tourists that visit a lot, they got that game on lock.  [Edited 4/5/09 22:55pm] | |
