Worst Customer Service

Ok everyone, I'd like to know which company breaks the mold for WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I want to know which company sends you from 0-10 on the pissed off meter in less than 5 seconds.

For me, that honor goes to none other than COMCAST. They are the biggest douche bags on earth. They want to sell you these cable, internet, land line phone packages but the $hit always needs repair and they always threaten to charge you for home visits. When you do have a technician come to your home, they tell you they'll be there between 8 am and 8 pm.! WTF!?! That means you have to either take the whole day off from work or have someone over to let them in! They are the worst!! Who do you think has the worst customer service?

I agree Time Warner/Comcast is the worst.
My internet was always going down and they would schedule to come out 2 weeks later. So I would be without tv and internet for 2 weeks.
Once,a technician called me after he left my house and asked me out to dinner. eek He saved my number in his cell phone confused

When I switched to Uverse they tried everything to keep my service.

I just cussed Comcast out for disconnecting service in error. I had to wait 3 days for someone to come out and fix the shit. If I did it ghetto style like I used to do back in the day my shit would've been on for 8 or 9 months without interruption. They gave me a credit but I was still pissed.

Yeah, last month, I disconnected every cablebox and my cable modem dumped it all in a big cardboard box and took it to my neighborhood Comcast station and told them I was through with them because I had no tv service for 3 days. They ended up begging me not to go to AT&T. They ended up giving me reduced rate for 6 months and they even threw in HBO for free. They had someone at my apartment in 3 hours time after that. Bastards. neutral

Yeah I tried on online and it said it was unavailable. I'll call instead and see.

There was a great piece in Wired magazine a few months ago on Comcast and how they are the worst company. It was surprising how bad they are.

9 out of 10 times I dial a number, I get, "We're sorry..." WTF?! If I was being killed and didn't have a cell, I'd be a goner! omfg

I totally feel where you guys are coming from. Most cable and phone companies hire idiots to work the phones. Usually when you have an issue with the first level it is because the person on the first level is stupid as hell. That is why a lot of them are placed at that level to answer basic questions.

I worked in retail for 6 years and worked a telemarketing job for 2 years. I learned to email customer service after you have a bad phone experience. If you do, they usually try to resolve your issue as well as the bad customer service. I know for myself, I have gotten HORRIBLE customer service from Sprint. When I do, I simply email them and explain what happened. They then usually deduct something off of my bill.

Also, remember to write down the name of the person that is giving you the issue. They are either rep remanded or the team they are working with is rep remanded. I learned that most of these people get bonuses if they do well. No need to give them a bonus when they have pissed you off.

Cursing out the person on the other end does not help. It only makes you feel better. It also pisses off the person on the other end. Once they hear you cursing and acting up, then they tune you out and are not going to try to resolve your issue. I've found that if the first person you talk to is not answering your question, kindly ask is there a supervisor or manager available because you cannot your issue is not being resolved. 9 times out of 10 the person will be upset, but they won't be so pissed that they ignore your issue. If the manager cares about keeping the customer, they will do whatever is in their power to keep your business.

We have the counterpart to Comcast here "Mediacom". I just refinanced my house and when they ran my credit, Mediacom was reporting I owed $500 for equipment from when I quit them and moved. I dropped that shit off in person and had a receipt. I still have yet to get to the person that can remove this from my report. I have the damn receipt IN HAND.

DirecTV on the other hand, has been excellent. I'm consistently impressed when I call them.
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

That is an issue you will have to probably write in and dispute to the corporate office. I had so many things on my credit before I bought my house and I had to write a few letters to get it removed from my credit report.

While Comcast is indeed a ho-ass-HO, I have more hatred for AT&T. One of their customer service reps literally YELLED @ me on the phone when I was inquiring about my bill eek pissed So here I am YELLING back @ this mf, I couldn't even believe a business transaction could get so ghetto out of nowhere! & when I spoke to the supervisor she didn't really care, so I bet that bitch is still working & gettin' ignant w/ people for no reason. So yea, I hate them the most lol

I feel ya Calhoun Sq. I despise AT&T for the same reason. I will NEVER use any of their services again. I would rather pay Satan himself for any of my telecommunication needs.

well, i hate AT&T and Comcast both!!! lol AT&T can't get my phone bill straight, so i canceled their service, and they are still sending me bills for calls that aren't ours! mad mad mad and Comcast sent me a letter saying that they're turning off my cable and internet service on june 1st due to non-payment. when i HAVE paid it already! mad mad mad mad the bad thing is that where i live comcast is the only option for cable, because my apt. doesn't allow direct tv or anything like that. mad so if you don't hear from me for a while, it's because i'm still trying to straighten out the comcast folks on my bill! wink

Have you emailed Sprint to complain?

I know someone who Sprint turned their service off for 10 cents!! So it's not just you. I've had no issues since I get my bill online and it's automatically deducted on my debit card.

Really? My mom works for them. She's told me some hilarious stories about some of the customers who call her lol

She'll be the first to tell you that in some areas, they do have TERRIBLE customer service lol

I hate Amazon.com and I will never buy a single thing from them ever again.

Last fall I ordered a book and paid with my debit card but due to some processing error on their end they never withdrew the funds. Instead of calling me to verify whether they had the correct account number they immediately referred me to some shady ass collection agency* that harrassed me for 3 months; even after I had returned the merchandise to amazon because of the way they initially handled it. When I would complain to amazon, they would say I had to call the collection agency, which would then ask for my bank account info (which I refused to give them because they have tons of BBB complaints against them and I didn't owe any money!) Amazon claimed they had told the collection agency to reverse the charges, but they kept harassing me. Finally I was told it was because whomever reversed it left a balance of one cent! mad Which I didn't owe, because I had returned the fucking merchandise months earlier!)

I work for a tax-exempt nonprofit and my supervisor orders a ton of books from amazon. In order to avoid paying sales tax (from which we are exempt) I thought it would be better to set up a corp. account with amazon (even though I hated them because of aforementioned reason). They claim they can't flag our account as tax exempt so on every sale I have to fax them a request to refund the sales tax (which is illegal for them to charge us in the first place). I faxed them our IRS tax exemption certificate in January and those fuckers claimed they never got it. I re-faxed it THREE times (each time receiving an OK confirmation on my end). It took them FOUR months to refund sales tax that we should have never had to pay! (I deal with smaller companies that never charge us because we are flagged as 'tax-exempt' in their system. I can't understand how a company as large as amazon can't do the same.)

I hate calling their customer service because they never help you and then they send you crap emails asking how they did, but you can't respond to them.
