Don't clutter it up with your self-hating jibberish, okay? Go over to P&R if you want to talk about God and sound like a crazy person, I hear that goes over real well in that forum. Jesus, you'd get more ass if you weren't so fucking self-absorbed. stop being so mean Mena!

^^^^^Euphemism for: Kid, you're a phony!^^^^
Well no I'm not. I just have an idiosyncratically quizzical style that I choose to use with tedious sagacity. It's terse, but parsed by my own logic. But others think it's rather distorted. Anyway, I'm sorry for hijacking your thread. It was fun before. But now I kind of feel like a dumbass. Feel better. I truly do mean that, sincerely and cordially. = ME! Oh, and one more thing. Do you really mean that? I don't know. I am pretty attractive but.....oh let me stop before I go on and on. Thanks! This sig is just a fig of your imago-neigh-shun

This never used to happen to me. But suddenly I'm over-emotional, over-sensitive, and downright psychotic right before my period. Meaning, I start believing things that I know are not true, and I start having the craziest thoughts. Does this happen to anyone else? I already take herbs at the beginning of my cycle each month (Chaste tree berry, evening primrose oil, ginger, red raspberry leaf, St. John's Wort) but they're not really taking care of it. I don't eat meat and I drink organic milk, so it's not factory-farm hormones. And I'm really against going on artificial hormones like the birth control pill. Do any of you chicks experience this, and have you found ways to make it stop?? [Edited 4/2/09 22:04pm] No I don't have that problem so I can't speak from personal experience but I did study this when I qualified for Natural Therapies. In saying that, many of the symptoms U have mentioned hit close to home with my mums menopause, and my best friends PMS as there are physical, psychological and emotional symptoms. She is currently on the pill Yasmin and it does ease the tension. She also admitted a while ago that it did reach crucial point after she married her husband. Apart from the pill, I advised her the greatest natural remedies (in non-pill or herb form) would be calcium, magnesium, acupuncture, cupping and strict dietary changes (no caffeine etc) along with exercise and relaxation i.e foot spa, remedial massage, reading, aromatherapy etc. The best remedy and yet the hardest is self control! Ever since the Greek poet, Simonides, wrote in 400 BC that 'one day she is all smiles and gladness but the next she is dangerous to look at or approach', men have painted themselves as the innocent victims of premenstrual syndrome. Strangely enough research has shown that PMS is worse for women who are in a relationship with a man than for those not, it provides a clue that men may be the missing link in their partner's distress.

Wow. I guess I'm pretty blessed that I barely have cramps and very rarely have mood swings due to my period Plus, they only last for 3 days, tops!

I think so. Thanks, Pantha. I've heard similar things about calcium and magnesium, but they haven't seemed to make a difference for me. The Normal Whores Club
