I was not on the pill and not trusting this guy but finding him sexually irresistible i figured what the heck double bag it. he didn't care oddly enuf. Of course it takes two people to make a baby being that neither or only one is using protection. Now if the guy is the one being responsible for birth control, why assume he is not cooperating. What else can he do besides not have sex in order to prevent pregnancy? I'm sorry but there are plenty of irresponsible women out there...maybe they want to get pregnant even though they know the man doesn't who knows. All I'm saying is that there are more birth control choices for women than there are men (I wish men had more choices) and if the guy did everything in his power to prevent pregnancy but the chick didn't, then I blame her for the end result. Some people in some situations do hold most of the cards. Just the way it is. And further, if the woman gets pregnant,,,its her decision whether or not to terminate or carry the pregnancy to term. The guy gets no say so...I don't think that's exactly fair either. People should be more careful about who they fuck, then. I have never had sex without being on the pill AND using the condom, and have flat out turned down guys who didn't want to wear one. But wearing two condoms, no matter the circumstances, really is a bad idea. The extra friction can cause them to break down during intercourse so the sperm gets through anyway, or it can cause them both to slip off inside the woman. Using two condoms at a time is about as effective for birth control as the rhythm method is. You got lucky. I guess I did get lucky, cuz it worked for me and I had no problem. He had no complaints about it either. My girlfriend has a kid do to her hubby's one condom breaking and I've heard many stories about the one condom slipping off which is why more birth control options need to be developed for men. I applaud you for not heaving sex with a guy who refused to wear a condom. I don't know why women still do that in this day and age or ever! But then I don't know why women would have 4 abortions in a year either. Now the other possibility is that this woman did use the pill and had a drug interaction, say antibiotics or anti-seizure meds, that rendered the birth control pill less or ineffective. With that said...I now reject the possibility that she's a retarded sex slave.

What DR would perform that many ABORTIONS on a woman? If this is TRUE she is CRAZY to subject her body to that. She can EASILY get the PILL or DIAPHRAM or SHOT! Why subject your body and womb to this? Even an IUD. And ABORTION is NOT A FORM OF BIRTH CONTROL. OR USE a CONDOM with GEL. There are Many options. I think tying one's TUBES is SEVERE and you go through EARLY MENOPAUSE with all the SYMPTOMS too.

Working in labor and delivery, i see so many babies that are unwanted. This is sad to think that this woman would do this harm to her body. If she didn't want her baby, there are so many families that would give that child a warm and loving home.
The damage she is doing to her body will come back to haunt her on a day that she really wants to have a baby and is unable to.!!!

I wish I could take all of them home with me....some do get adopted, some get foster care....but most go home with the intention of getting more welfare dollars. Don't get me wrong....99% of the babies born are given all the love they need and more.....it is that 1% that makes you cry!!!

That is BS. My tubes are tied for 6+ yrs. now... no early menopausal symptoms. The reason why women go into menopause when they get their tubes tied is because those women are old, (in their 40s-50s or had female issues) this is why those women get menopausal symptoms. I love having my tubes tied. No weird hormonal symptoms, no pains, no pills/shots to take. Makes the sex great too. (If you have a partner you can trust)

Had my tubes tied and was more than happy with it...never had one inclding (sic) of menopause. I have now had a hysterectomy at 35 and still no menopause. Lots of issue will kick it in....but having your tubes tied will not.

A very mean way to approach a woman that had to have life saving surgery. You speak to her as if it were a frivolous choice she made... like picking out a suede coat to wear on a rainy day. Fuck! Why say it that way? Does having children make you anymore of a woman? It does not! If she didn't have children, that may have been some hurtful shit to say to someone. ... never say some fucked up shit to someone that you would not want said to your child or someone you care deeply for. wow. I usually enjoy your posts... I am surprised. edit [Edited 3/23/09 21:17pm]

Not much of a choice at all... no woman ever wants to die and no woman wants to lose any organ... I think if we all were forced into that decision we would choose life. Plus she's got 3 beautiful kids that need their mommy. Glad to see you back in the thread BTW, never take what I post personal(opinions are always up for debate)...I may come off strong but, I do respect you as a person...

I didn't know her or her situation...if you read further back then you see how our convo progressed and we're good. Where do you get off coming at me like that? Try asking why I said what i said versus assuming you know what I think. Here's some clarification to ease your mind...some women actually do get hysterectomy because they simply don't want periods anymore, is that a suede coat on a rainy day situation to you? What is this thread title? 4 abortions in a year! There's another suede coat theory. There is a boat load of reasons why women do what they do with regard to their bodies/reproductive organs and unless you clarify your decision before posting...nobody know what the deal is. I didn't know whether she had kids or not so I was hoping, just hoping, that she wasn't longing for them else having your uterus taken out is a devastating thing to go thru if you still want kids - Just a fact! And as you can see, she simply said having a hysterectomy was the best thing ever happened to her so how was I supposed to know whether children were a factor, whether she had cancer or what her deal was. I responded matter of factly to what I perceived was a matter of fact post. I got my infor, I understand her situation and I wish her well. You better take your own advice and Never say some fucked up shit to someone that you would not want said to you! You are taking my post to some place personal and it had nothing to do with you. I feel for you if there's something horrible you are going through healthwise family wise or whatever and I hope you find relief. If everything is good in your world then that is wonderful and maybe we are just misunderstanding each other as often happens on the org.
