Flatbush or Nutbush?

I'm more of a city guy. Do you prefer pastoral settings or the infrastructure-laden milieu of an overly-dense and populous landscape?

I'm a suburban mouse -- good parts of both worlds.

But if I had to pick between the heart of a metropolis or a rural environment, I'd go with the city.

Ah. There's also that hybrid, heh? When I think of Suburbia, I visualize a residential neighborhood similar to the one in Edward Scissorhands, for some strange reason. Don't ask me why. OH MOY GAWD!

Yeah, well, some suburbs can be the sterile, cookie-cutter wastelands they are accused of being. I take my suburbs with a little more spice.

My wife and I have a joke that wherever we find ourselves, we wanna be in the first- or second-ring 'burb that is the axis point of the Jews, blacks and homos. That's where all the character is. smile (No offense to others.)

I like the more suburb-ish part of part places or the country BUT I can only tolerate it for 2 weeks tops. lol I LOVE the city, I stay up late and need places to go that stays open late. Oh but it most definitely would NOT be Flatbush I choose as a residence. neutral

I kind of figured someone from NYC would check me about that. But, it's just a play on word association. You see Flatbush, you think Queens: Ground Rats that tread their footsteps on asphalt, Rusty Brickhouse Apartments with Pissy Floors, Those Slide-Door Elevators that are SO out-of-sync with the modern epochs, Flying Rats big enough to be guard-dogs, etc.) You see Nutbush, you think Tina Turner, who was from a small town around the Bible Belt Region/Chitlin Circuit Mainlines.

I like both. Actually, I think I would prefer to live just outside the city in a semi-rural area like my parents live. It's only 30 minutes from downtown.
