my disinterest in the "right" shoes makes me feel inadequate as a woman I mean, is it just to make you (as women) feel better about yourselves, because in my experience, men don't really care what shoes women wear. Heels for work is understandable I guess. But outside of work?

Hence, a woman wearing the right shoes is HAWT.

Obviously I have seen my sister, Mum and previous girlfriends etc... without makeup on, but I currently only know one girl, at work, who does not bother with any makeup at all. Whats that about? Every girl insists not only on shoes, but makeup to all the time? Looking nice makes people more confident. Thats fine, but honestly LOL. Makeup and shoes. The obsession never ends with most women

Thats all Iam saying I'd hazard a guess and say they aren't really wearing them for the men Nope. Like I said- I don't feel "dressed" unless my shoes are right. It's not just a shallow "all women love shoes, therefore I do, too". It's a compulsion. I'm not gonna lie. I won't wear an outfit if my shoes aren't right. My supervisor wears business suits with flips-flops. It looks like she stopped getting dressed or forgot her shoes! "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. Sometimes I wonder why women spend so much time on such things. I understand if they like to do it, but sometimes I think it might be something deeper then that. Every woman is different of course.

Now, see, I don't wear makeup. I don't feel like I need it. Not that I think I'm that gorgeous, but I just don't think that it's necessary to boost up my self-confidence. I feel fine about my face.
My clothes & shoes are what make me feel good. "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

My clothes & shoes are what make me feel good. Thats cool. Iam the total opposite. I couldn't care less how I look, and like the complete opposite of some people insisting on makeup and generally looking immaculate 24/7, both might be low self esteem related. I dont feel like I have low self esteem, but it seems to give off that impression as people always tell me "dont you care how you look" LOL. My stupid acne doesn't help, but Iam not fussed about that either anymore. Not really. That in itself was tough to get over, as I still have shitty acne LOL. I looked at a mates bebo and she was posing, wearing copious amounts of makeup (not just average amounts). Iam like "so you want people you already know, and total strangers, to think your gorgeous? Why?". Sorry to go off topic LOL.

Because no matter what size or shape you are, or whether you gain or lose weight, you can almost always find cute shoes that fit. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Put it this way - I have 2 pair that have only been worn (so far) while fucking because when I see them on my feet I feel like a seriously baaaaad bitch! Very sexy It's just cute (or I should say it can be if you're into it)...

You really need to say SOME women -- I for one am not obsessed with shoes I would rather NOT wear them and I only own around 8 pair total and that includes my hiking and ridding boots and Mud boots for the barn [Edited 3/12/09 5:36am]

For me - the idea of having thousands of dollars worth of different shoes sitting around is just ODD :lol - but that's just me I can really see how some could be totally into that though

As long as I have something to put on my back and my feet everyday, I am fine. I am constantly walking through mud, I could not imagine wearing nice shoes living here. When I lived in Florida, I much preferred going barefoot when possible. I love feeling sand between my toes. [Edited 3/12/09 5:55am]
