Angry chimp thinks ahead "STOCKHOLM – A canny chimpanzee who calmly collected a stash of rocks and then hurled them at zoo visitors in fits of rage has confirmed that apes can plan ahead just like humans, a Swedish study said Monday. Santino the chimpanzee's anti-social behavior stunned both visitors and keepers at the Furuvik Zoo but fascinated researchers because it was so carefully prepared.
According to a report in the journal Current Biology, the 31-year-old alpha male started building his weapons cache in the morning before the zoo opened, collecting rocks and knocking out disks from concrete boulders inside his enclosure. He waited until around midday before he unleashed a "hailstorm" of rocks against visitors, the study said....." http://news.yahoo.com/s/a...ngry_chimp This is too funny. unlucky7 reincarnated

What's even funnier is that we're so shocked that animals have that kind of mental capacity.
I'm really not surprised at all. [...i think i can, i think i can, i think i can...]

I'm really not surprised at all. I was going to say the same thing! Why would anyone think that animals can't plan ahead? In fact, some things they even pick up on before humans, like earthquakes and other natural disasters. Moreover, why would anyone think that animals don't talk with each other, or for that matter; talk with us? The owner of the chimp that was recently killed by police here in NY, after mauling the owner's friend, said that her chimp (which she raised from a baby as her son) was able to dress himself, use the toilet, ate at the dinner table, AND not only was he able to drive the car, actually swiped the keys on several occasions and got picked up blocks away behind the wheel! Animals are people too, they just speak a different language.

This is funny.
But are they thinkin about the other side of this? The chimp is tired of the zoo and all the spectators. Just put him back in the wild already. I swear the words "HATER" is wayyy over-rated...smh
