Question about jewelry for the old school folks I know plenty of folks was bling-blinging with they gold in the 1980s like Mr. T, but was was anybody bling-blinging back in the 1960s and 70s? Or did it become official in the 1980s?

the bohemian look demanded a lot of different types of worldly lookin jewelry, and lots of rings
but the mods wore very little jewelry, if any at all: these are of course generalizations this is just from what i've observed (old school soul, rather than old school physical age ) i'm sure i'm not too far off from the truth though [...i think i can, i think i can, i think i can...]

bottom line:
there were so many different styles back then and they all had a distinct way of wearing jewelry [...i think i can, i think i can, i think i can...]

It took off in the 80s as the 60s and esrly 70s were more platinum and silver or natural materials beads, strings, hemps, stones or ropes. You did have you're richer people that went in for bling but precious gems were worn.
