My in-laws called us from outside in a panic saying one of our sheep was sick (she was just giving birth actually, the lamb is a few hours old on the vid)  Is there any place of refuge one can flee from this insanity | |

awwwww, thats adorable!!
when i was young, my dad was really into horses, he raced them and bred them with a group of men in like a 4 state area... i will never forget, i was like 7 years old i think when he busted in the house, woke us all up to get dressed, took us out to the barn (it was like 3 in the morning) - my brother and i got up in the hay loft to overlook the stall that held the mother who was obviously very close to giving birth. we watched for what didnt seem to be very long, my mom and dad where in with the horse, helping her in whatever way they could... and soon, a baby was born
he was a beautiful baby paint horse, his little legs were so weak but he jumped right up on them shaky as they were  his lil face was so darn cute!!! it was one of the most amazing things i have ever seen, i remember it like it was yesterday - that was 31 years ago lol...
turns out that horse was one of my dads favorites, so we have lots of pictures of it growing up, but one of the coolest things about it is that when he was not that much older, he somehow got confused, used to think he was a dog or something - dad would go out and call him, he would run up and put his feet on my dads shoulders (like a dog would put his paws on your chest). not sure how they got him to stop that, because after a short time the horse would have really hurt dad by doing that... either way, he was a special horse for sure! oh, and he went on to win my dad a huge ring, looked like a superbowl ring - with a quite sizeable diamond lol - at one of his races. yup, dad and that horse had quite a good time for a long time, that was his buddy out there at the farm... congrats on your young beauties!!!
