The WATCHMEN (Movie & Comic Novel) Thread 1. I didn't read the graphic comic book novel beforehand. 2. I didn't have to (along I did read some of it after watching the movie today) because THIS film was excellent for first time fans such as myself. And I was shocked at the way the story ended. 3. THIS really isn't your "normal" superhero movie. So please don't let your children watch this R-rated film without you.

Already a thread.
But is the warning for the violence or the penis? lol If your taking children to an R rated movie, isn't nudity likely? It's just usually female. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

Having read the novel first I will go into the movie expecting a lot, even tho I know some key parts aren't in it Well at least the pirate story isn't in it and that does give more insight into the whole mood of things on the street level. But with a source like Watchmen which is so rich in story naturally things will get cut out (can't wait for the ultimate directors cut already)
But fortunately for myself I am not as critical as some internet/comic book nerds are and I'm sure I will still enjoy this movie a lot, although they could have made Ozmandias' (however its spelt) costume more like his comic equivalent but that's only a minor thing. Receiving transmission from David Bowie's nipple antenna. Do you read me Lieutenant Bowie, I said do you read me...Lieutenant Bowie

The warning concerning the behaviors of the "heroes" (especially The Comedian). 2. A film doesn't necessary has to have nudity to get an R-rating. Graphic violence or too many usages of the word "f***" would be enough.
