It started to snow last night and literally 30 mins. later the schools were closed.

We live in a rural area and what you see is not even close to being as rural as it is in some parts of the county. Because we don't get snow very often the county govt. is not equipped to deal with it. We don't have the equipment or materials to clear the roads enough for buses to get to all the places.

I'm out of class too for the day so I'm not complaining!

Here in Murrrland.
These are nothing compared to when we lived up in the PA mountains. But it's the most we've had since moving here a year ago. And our last at this shitty house!

Just south of Richmond. This is really unusual. As soon as the first snowflake hit the ground they canceled school. They're out tomorrow as well. I'm not complaining though because I didn't have class tonight and I don't tomorrow either.

My daughters miss the snow, but I really don't. Then again, I got to spend my whole childhood in Boston, and I do have really fond memories of sledding, snowball fights and forts.

Then I grew up and had to shovel the shit til I pulled muscles in my neck and shoulders, and had to drive through the shitty gray shit that that beautiful white stuff becomes in a matter of hours, and I said F that.

We got a snow day here too...Id post pics but we didnt actually get any snow. They called for it so schools were cancelled, then we got rain instead. Idiots
