What's the most romantic thing that you have ever done for someone or someone has ever done for you?

(I am completely aware that this thread isn't gonna be anywhere near as popular as my sex locations thread...!)

it's not doing too badly at all! biggrin

I was one who'd totally given up on romance, being that my marriage proposal went like this:

"I reckon we should get married in November"
"Oh, OK"

falloff

and the best thing about our wedding according to the master is that when we counted all the money we got as wedding gifts, when we subtracted our expenses, we realised we were ahead several hundred dollars lol

When I turned 25, my husband, god bless him, gave me a diamond ring, and it left me a blubbering mess, it was so unexpected!

AND for our 10th wedding anniversary, he said "we're going to NEW YORK!!!"

mushy

For HIS birthday 2 years ago I got rid of the kids and surprised him at work and he got let out early (since I cleared his appointments that afternoon lol ) and we had a night at a telo wink

I don't really do the romance thing, but last Xmas he came over in the wee hours (we both work odd hours). I wore lingerie that had a pink bow on the chest, @ the top of the butt crack & a separate bow that went around my neck - i.e. I was his present. When I got there I had a bath run for him, music playing, candles lit, I was gonna make steak & lobster but got outta that somehow lol He dug it...

Notice I can't say anything romantic he's done for me confused
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

I'm not a romantic gesture kinda guy, I must admit. I don't buy flowers, never even give a card on v-day, but I don't let a day go by without telling my wife I love her and showing her I appreciate her. smile

When we were just friends and staying in contact by e-mail and phone, I was the only one who showed dependable care for her, who worried about her health, and tried to help her out of a cycle that was heading towards self-destruction. Seeing this care had a large part in her 'falling' for me, I think, because I was always there when she needed me, even if through the powers of the net only. smile

When we were first together I encouraged her to move back home and renew her relationship with her family. She hadn't really had that since she was 15 and now she's got a loving family around her every day and she's found a greater capacity to give love again because of it.

I gave up my education and life in England, left my family and friends, to move out here and commit to the relationship. I'm glad I did. smile

I try to take care of her health, making nice teas for her, buying fruit for her, just little things. I'm teaching her to swim too. She hasn't always looked after herself in the past so I'm helping her to do that now. It's amazing the difference it makes in so many ways. I'm glad to be a part of it, the best Mon there's ever been.

I hope these things just show her I care and love her very much, both in the big decisions and sacrifices I've been happy to make for us, and the little everyday things.

As for romantic things done for me, my wife has incredible patience when it comes to looking after me when I'm sick, or just little things like a soothing touch or relaxing massage. I'm quite needy, I guess, when it comes to that touchy feely stuff, and it means a lot to me that she never tires of giving more and more love.

For our 10th anniversary, my hubby had to work; so I cooked his favorite foods (5 courses)I talked with the company and his Super and they agreed he could have an hour lunch break. They called him to the office that had a washroom and shower, he was told he had 8 minutes to shower and change because he was gooing to a big Union meeting with Company men. Meanwhile his sister and I set up the VIP break room with candles, music, The table was decked out with china silver & crystal and flowers. The Sparkling Juice was chilling. His sister was dressed asthe waitress. I was dressed to the 9sand looking like as 12. Imagine his suprise. It was a magical night as the stars were shining down on use and there was a full moon. For 45 minutes we ate & laughed, then danced while gazed into each other's eyes. A night neight have forgotten. wink biggrin wink
