The News? (Real or Phony)

How much of the local news is real and how much is speculation?
I HATE THE TV NEWS and since the internet, I stopped watching as much. I know it must be hard to deliver stories day after day for sometimes a two hour period. I have to do a report for work once a month and its hard to come up with enough things to write about, since things are REALLY slow right now.
So I know these reporters are scrambling, because prepared or not, 6pm, you're on the air!!! All the real stories are about who got shot today. At least that's (unfortunately) real. mad

Well, most of it is real, but manipulated in a way that will attract more viewers, thus it's not the whole story, unbiased, and fair. In many times.

SENSATIONALISED is what it is
if they can get a shot of someone crying or angry the reporters can throw a party
