My middle daughter Jessica - pictured above with her trophy after winning the championship in the Alameda indoor league last month - and her Soccer team, a class I U11 Girls Premiere team, are playing in the NorCal State Cup final this Sunday - 2/22 (originally scheduled for last Saturday but got rained out).

They won their table (bracket) in the round robin going undefeated without giving up a goal eliminating Menlo Park, Palo Alto, San Ramon and Santa Cruz. Then in the quarter-finals they defeated Modesto 5 - 1 and in the semi-final they beat Folsom 1 - 0 and now play Pleasanton in the final.

Wish her luck!!! (yes I am a proud Father who is bragging)

I hope so.....they already beat Pleasanton 5 - 0 earlier this year the only time they played.

They did it....in a rain-soaked game they beat Pleasanton 3 - 0 to win the NorCal State Cup Championship!!!! In the 9 Norcal Cup games they played (3 in October, 3 in January and 3 in February), they went undefeated and only gave up ONE goal.....8 shutouts....while scoring a total of 35 goals!!!

It was raining off and on all game....here are the conditions they had to play in which is why the game was moved from the Manteca complex with all natural grass fields to the Mustang complex in Danville with all artificial turf fields:



During a break in the action for a substitution, Jessica is on the far left in front of the referee. Jessica almost scored her second goal of the tournament right after this but the goalie made a great play to lay out and smother the ball Jessica shot.
