Parody movie overkill

Who else is getting tired of all of these parody movies?

When the first 2 scary movies came out, it was cool, but now, we have 3 or 4 coming every year and they aren't even remotely funny

Scary Movie 3 and 4 were letdowns, Not Another Teen Movie was "eh", Meet The Spartans was terrible, Epic Movie wasn't even funny, and now "Dance Flick" is coming out

sigh

Every Steven Siegal movie is a parody action movie. But I never get bored of Steven.

Word, bboy! But if you weren't negligent of my very existence (Like people were back in 2007), you'd know that I already commenced t engaging in a tirade about the dreadful piece-of-shit for a parody movie named "Disaster Movie/Meet The Spartans. A bunch of the motherfuckers that ruined the latter years of MadTV graced the cast, so it was bound to be shitty, from the get-go.

I've lost count of the parody movies that's come out in the past 8 years

and you know it's going to be bad when you hear "From 2 of the producers of Scary Movie....." lol

Word. That's a dead giveaway, right there. Co-signer for sub-par parody work. And the funny thing is, The Wayans Brothers kicked ass in the first one, in my honest opinion. I wouldn't call it a classic or even groundbreaking, by any standards. But, it certainly carried on their legacy of doing a decent-to-excellent job on parody movies (As the cult classic "Don't Be A Menace While Drinking Your Juice in South Central" can attest to. I fucking LOVE that movie! lol ).

Scary Movie 1 and 2 were great and Don't Be A Menace, that shit NEVER gets old! lol

but when walked away the producers were brought in Charlie Sheen and C list celebrities and impersonators.....it ruined the franchise

Can some of these even be considered parodies? The last one I saw was Epic Movie. What I can recall from that turd:

- a guy imitate Samuel L Jackson in Snakes on a Plane. He says the "motherfucking snakes" line over and over. Ha ha?
- Crispin Glover imitates Willy Wonka. He dances. Ha ha?
- a plane engine falls on Paris Hilton...actually, LOL, that's not bad.
- a guy imitates Jack Sparrow. He dances. Ha ha?
- a guy imitates Borat. Just, literally, stands there and imitates him.

Anyway, it is the worst film in life. I haven't even bothered watching the latest ones. How do these "filmmakers" get their projects off the ground?

Parody movies (and comedies in general) haven't been the same since the 1980s.
