While I see the humor, I think the dad needed to do a better job of dealing with his son's obvious "bad" trip than picking up a camera and recording it.
The kid is freaking out. The Most Important Thing In Life Is Sincerity....Once You Can Fake That, You Can Fake Anything.

The kid is freaking out. Yeah, I kinda agree. It's hysterical, but a little bit exploitatitive. His scream at the 1 minute mark is serious.

His scream at the 1 minute mark is serious. yeah, i would've turned around and went back to the dentist/emergency. that kid wasn't having fun and i can totally relate because that's how i reacted the first time i came from under. i truly felt out of my body and nothing was real and a kid doesn't understand what's really going on in that state, i was constantly looking for my bearing. Now if my mom would have prepared me for the trip, it might have been a little bit more fun. "is this gonna be forever?" : lol :

poor baby...
that scream WAS serious though it should have been time to take him home... how bad do you let your kids teeth get that they have to break out whatever it is they used on him??!! 'why y'all trying to say goodbye? I didn't go anywhere, I'm right here, im all around you,always..'
in a line from my dream, I heard a voice and saw a silhouette in a chair..

He was OK just with a local anaesthetic though, no need for weird drugs.

If this kid needed to be gassed, he must've had serious repairs to be done or must've been a little terror in the dentist's chair. Either way, he's so small and obviously quite effected by the nitrous oxide. I'm certainly no medical professional, but I wonder how good an idea it was not to admit him awhile for observation. My dad was a dentist, I don't think they use happy gas in this country, I never even heard of that! We just get a needle

Everyone reacts differently to things like anesthesia or happy gas...my grandma only has to have the tiniest bit and she's off with the fairies. I had some to have my wisdom teeth out last year and while I was all floppy like him I was still very aware and able to talk...slowly

that kid is a lightweight.
when i was a child i got laughing gas at the dentist and laughed hysterically for a few minutes but soon after my tooth got pulled the effect seemed to wear off they must have increased the dosage in recent years You're so glam, every time I see you I wanna slam!
