Button me eyes! I loved Coraline!

When I saw the trailer at "My Bloody Valentine 3D" I wasn't too enthused about seeing Coraline. But I took my boy to see it, because he really wanted to, and I absolutely LOVED IT!

Anyone else see it opening night? It's great. Go see it.

I saw Coraline last night. I was afraid the story got too heavy and scary at parts for my 7-year-old, but she loved it! And the 3D animation was great -- light years away from the old red/blue glasses stuff.

I'd love to see who they used as a model for Coraline's father. He had such character in his personality and appearance.

Better than expected.
Definitely not for very young kids. Long and dark at times.

Even though I saw her name in the credits at the beginning, I could not place the actor for "the other mother"... until the end, when she transformed into the taller, skinnier, bonier creature. Then it dawned on me... "That's Terri Hatcher! doh!"

lol

looked just like her.

It was written by Neil Gaiman. I would have been surprised if it wasn't dark.

I found the visuals excellent. the adaptation was underwhelming... my question is, why doesn't Gaiman participate in writing is own adaptations? maybe its tough for him to do so...

but, in all... it is pretty good.

Oh... um... I am still hoping for the big Sandman film... seems dead & bloated at this point...

Oh crap. I'm taking my 3 year old today. He's insisting to go. This should be fun.

It has a happy ending. Just hold him tight during the scary parts, and he may be OK. Did anyone else notice the youngest kids were done before the movie was?

He was totally fine, and was the youngest kid there. He even kept his glasses on. What a cool little dude.

Great movie.

Moments (I said moments) like that make me wish I were a dad. But it'll pass.
